Menswear Roundup: From Matt Damon’s Classic Tailoring to Jordan Firstman’s Oversized Suit
Here is a final roundup of the remaining menswear looks from this week, taking us from Madrid and New York to Los Angeles. Between relaxed tailoring, leather jackets and some interesting footwear choices, there is plenty to discuss.

American Horror Story Press Tour
Paul Anthony Kelly has been a revelation this year style-wise, and he was back for his second press tour, serving up the classic tailoring that made us fall in love with his style the first time around. Dressed in a Ralph Lauren navy pinstripe three-piece suit, he reminded us why we’ve enjoyed following his fashion choices this year: impeccable tailoring. Menswear should look this simple and effortless, yet every week I find myself baffled by the length of trousers on the red carpet. Not in this case. Jacques Marie Mage sunglasses and Doucal’s shoes completed his look.

A Few Good Men Opening Night
I know you probably guessed that Tom Blyth was wearing Saint Laurent by Anthony Vaccarello. The double-striped shirt-and-tie pairing feels like a trend that will continue going strong until the end of the year, or perhaps until the new creative director takes the helm. The loosely knotted tie gives the look a relaxed, slightly dishevelled feel and offers a point of difference from those who have tucked their ties, as seen on the runway.

CFDA Fashion Awards
I swooned so hard when I saw Matt Damon in this Ralph Lauren Purple Label double-breasted wool-cashmere tuxedo. It’s the cut and the black cashmere roll-neck for me. This is exactly the sort of understated elegance I appreciate from a Hollywood legend. The white pocket square is a welcome finishing touch, and the proportions are excellent. No complaints from me.

While we have seen interpretations of this Thom Browne kilted look before, Paapa Essiedu wears it with his usual elegance. I’m also really enjoying how the chunky lace-up boots give the outfit a tougher finish.

I was much less impressed with François Arnaud’s Thom Browne look. Yes, it has that slightly rebellious quality that suits him, but I’m not the biggest fan of these shrunken proportions.

Giancarlo Esposito continues to be the coolest man in any room, with his Public School New York Fall 2026 cropped leather jacket serving as the hero piece. I’m glad the high-waisted trousers meet the jacket, because that uninterrupted line makes the proportions work beautifully.

The Hunger Games: Sunrise on the Reaping Madrid Premiere
Joseph Zada continued his impressive press tour in a Bottega Veneta Fall 2026 look, which is the first outfit from this tour that feels genuinely youthful and boyish. The navy cashmere sweater with leather shoulder panels, grey wool trousers and Romeo loafers make for a refreshing change from his more formal appearances.

Club Kid LA Premiere
Jordan Firstman wore a Bottega Veneta Fall 2026 look that has the same retro quality we saw on his co-star Diego Calva, but the fit is driving me crazy. The jacket appears two sizes too big for him, while the trousers are pooling around his shoes. I love the pink silk-taffeta shirt against the charcoal-grey tailoring, but I can’t get past how much better this could have looked with a more flattering fit.
