Vogue World Milano: Couture, Archive Pulls and Plenty of Sheer
Vogue World Milano brought fashion and entertainment together inside the Galleria Vittorio Emanuele II, with the guest list delivering everything from archival fashion and couture to custom looks and plenty of sheer dresses. Here are the notable looks that caught my eye.
Going For Gold
After all the colour and romantic looks in Venice, Pamela Anderson opted for something more directional in this Ferragamo Fall 2026 pleated gold lamé gown. Seeing the look on the runway, I did wonder if Pam’s was worn backwards, but I can’t find a picture of the back to confirm.
I think the Pandora x Pat McGrath bespoke necklace is doing most of the heavy lifting, along with the liquid quality of the fabric. Black satin Ferragamo pumps featuring Swarovski toe ornaments and a Gancini clasp mini clutch completed her look.

Back To Black
Dakota Johnson stayed firmly within her preferred all-black, sheer, plunging-neckline era in Valentino, following her look for the Kering event. There are so many layers here that the sheer element is actually the most noticeable part of the look.
A Couture Favourite
Jordyn Woods was one of my favourites of the night wearing Stéphane Rolland Spring 2025 Haute Couture. I will always go weak at the knees for a sculpted silhouette. However, looking at the way the top you might feel it belongs on someone taller or with a longer torso, but the slight modifications look better on Jordyn. Casadei Blade Interstellar pumps complemented the fringed detail perfectly.
So Very Maisie
I really wish we had a full-length picture of Maisie Williams, because this Pauline Dujancourt look feels completely in tune with her style. The layered tulle, frayed textures, ribbons and deep red colour all sit comfortably within the romantic, slightly undone aesthetic she gravitates towards, while the fingerless sheer gloves and layered Pandora x Pat McGrath bespoke necklace and charms make it feel even more personal to her.
Some Looks Can’t Be Reinvented
Meadow Walker wore a Prada Spring 2009 look which Bella Hadid previously wore to the Miu Miu and Perfect Magazine dinner party in 2022. This is one of those runway looks that is so distinctive that I’m not sure there is much room to make it your own. The cropped brown top, exposed black straps and matching skirt are instantly recognisable, so the wearer changes, but the identity of the look remains the same.
Laced Up
Hande Erçel wore Dolce & Gabbana Spring 2024, and this is easily one of the most recognisable looks of the night. What makes it work for me is the contrast between the structure of the heavily laced corset and the romantic flow of the chiffon. One is rigid and intricate, while the other brings a softness that prevents all that corsetry from feeling too heavy. The white sandals were exactly the right choice here.
Archival Energy
If I didn’t know Camila Mendes was wearing custom Prada, I would have guessed this was archival. Firstly, because Camila loves an archival moment, and secondly, because the shawl, gathered skirt and slightly retro proportions take the look back a few decades. Unfortunately, the accessories only reinforce that feeling. The black structured bag and pumps feel too businesslike for the rest of the look.
First Dibs
Considering Jennifer Lopez was sitting front row at the Dolce & Gabbana Alta Moda show, I’m not surprised she has access to this Dolce & Gabbana Alta Moda 2025 dress. Jennifer was never going to approach this kind of dress half-heartedly. The sheer gloves and major diamond-and-aquamarine necklace only amplify the glamour.
Too Formal For The Moment?
Naomi Campbell is a great model, but this Matières Fécales tweed suit baffled me for this event. Between the longline jacket and matching midi skirt, it feels a little too formal for Vogue World Milano. I’m also struggling to get on board with the hair and oversized sunglasses. There are too many elements in competition here, and none of them are winning.
The Victoria Beckham Dress
Leomie Anderson wore a vintage Roberto Cavalli Fall 2005 blue-and-white dragon-print gown, and this will always be the Victoria Beckham dress to me, no matter how many times it is worn by someone else. That said, Leomie looks breathtaking. The statuesque column silhouette was always going to work beautifully on her.
Well, Colour Me Surprised
Heidi Klum in a sheer black lace dress? Imagine my surprise.
I’m kidding, of course. This is so completely within Heidi’s wheelhouse that the only surprising part is that the dress is Celia Kritharioti rather than Intimissimi.
