2023 César Nominee Dinner

The 2023 César nominee dinner took place at Le Fouquet’s on Monday (February 6) in Paris, before the annual event on February 24.

As you would expect, it was a red carpet full of French brands only.

Virginie Efira, who is nominated for a César in the category of Best Actress for her film ‘Revoir Paris,’ served up no surprises wearing Saint Laurent.

I have a feeling some of you will be thinking what I’m thinking.

“It’s getting a bit samey.”

Now you know I love Virginie with all my heart, and I do love her Saint Laurent looks, but I was convinced this was a rerun between the colour and the silhouette.

I hope that her César red carpet look will be a custom look in a colour other than black, but I’m not holding my breath with regards to the latter.

With all that being said, she does look uber chic in this Saint Laurent tuxedo gown which she made appear less formal by wearing a mini dress underneath.

Lyna Khoudri, who is nominated in the Best Supporting Actress for ‘Novembre,’ was another brand ambassador working this red carpet.

The French-Algerian actress wore a look from the Chanel Spring 2023 collection.

I know many of you aren’t fans of sheer pieces, but I feel that the sheer top injects a youthful feel to this look.

A jacket in the same fabric as the skirt might have been too matronly for her.

Much like Danielle Deadwyler, Nadia Tereszkiewicz was not influenced by the runway styling of her Dior Spring 2023 look.

Her embroidered jacket and lace trimmed skirt was styled with an awesome pair of Dior lug boots.
