Front Row @ Alexander McQueen Spring 2022

The Spring 2022 show for Alexander McQueen took place in London at the Tobacco Dock with front row full of celebrities on Tuesday (October 12).

I’m sure you’ll co-sign with me in believing that Vanessa Kirby would make an excellent ambassador for Alexander McQueen.

The actress was looking very statuesque wearing this navy knit dress with an on-trend cropped blazer.

As you would expect from an Alexander McQueen look, the military touches added plenty of gravitas to this look.

Emilia Clarke reminds us that Alexander McQueen does do saccharine, as showcased in this coral fit and flare dress.

I can’t say that I’m a huge fan of the footwear, but at least they complement the look colour-wise.

Shaun Leane jewels completed her look.

I was going to give credit to the harness on Yahya Abdul-Mateen’s Alexander McQueen look for elevating the tailoring, but the tailoring of this herringbone oversized double-breasted coat stands alone.

This might just be my favourite look from this front row.  He looked impeccable from head-to-toe.

Christine and the Queens aka Heloise Letissier is so bad-ass.  I’m buying everything she is selling. 

Her Alexander McQueen leather jacket was already showcasing the brand renowned edge, but the studded belt took this to a whole new level.

This might be too Neo from the Matrix for some. But for me, she has the attitude to pull this off.

I love these hybrid jackets from Alexander McQueen.  You may remember that Cynthia Erivo wore a denim parka look lately.  

And here you have Honor Swinton Byrne wearing the exploded parka sleeves tailored jacket.

While I like the outfit – especially when paired with the cigarette trousers – I’m not totally sold on the accessories.  I would’ve kept things simple and plain.

I’m sure I have said before that I’m yet to identify Honor’s style, but I think Alexander McQueen would be a good fit for her. Especially the tailoring.

On anyone else I would’ve said no to the lace ups, but Soko is giving me everything from the ankles up in this explosive Alexander McQueen puff-sleeve flared faille blue dress, that her footwear is the last thing I am focusing on.

Most would get lost in those sleeves.

Sonam Kapoor has been living in London for some time now, and it looks like she has already been indoctrinated when it comes to our weather, because despite the sunshine, she opted for an Alexander McQueen trench coat. 

You know…just in case of a rain storm that is likely to break out at any moment. 

This Alexander McQueen drop sleeve trench coat defined by exaggerated storm flaps hails from the Pre-Fall 2021 collection.

The look was styled with Alexander McQueen’s signature tall boots and The Curve bag.

Kosar Ali’s Alexander McQueen leather biker jacket looks every so elegant thanks to the zipper accented ruffles.   The voluminous nature continued via her drawstrings gathered midi skirt.

Yes, the dainty dresses paired with lug boots is very much a McQueen trait, but it didn’t work for me here with Lara Stone and her blue Alexander McQueen panelled pastel blue dress.

Perhaps a black belt was needed to tie in the boots like with Emilia’s look.
