Front Row @ Chanel Spring 2021

Chanel presented their Spring 2021 collection on the last day of Paris Fashion Week this morning in Paris (October 6), with a jam-packed socially distance front row of celebrity ambassadors.

Kristen Stewart:  If there’s an option for a skirt or shorts, Kristen is all in, so I wasn’t surprised to see her reach for this Chanel Fall 2020 look. The highlight for me was the white lace jacket with the tie adding a boyish touch which is quintessential Kristen.

Unfortunately she lost me with the footwear and socks combo.  I have a feeling that both were considered cool with this look, but the socks made this look feel a little dated for me, and the shoes just didn’t complement the look at all. However, considering that Kristen usually ditches heels the second she is done with official photos, flats were perhaps the best choice. Chanel Fine Jewelry completed her look, along with one of her best hair styles to date.

Margot Robbie:  Considering that the majority of you have never taken to Margot’s style – especially in Chanel – it was perhaps wise for her to play it safe in this classic Chanel leather look from the Resort 2021 collection. Like Kristen, Margot also opted for flats, but hers were from Chanel.

Marion Cotillard:  In keeping with the muted theme of this red carpet, Marion kept things simple wearing a Chanel Spring-Summer 2021 Act 1 collection navy top and matching pants, which may not have stood out had it not been for the gold trims and Chanel accessories.

Vanessa Paradis:  I have a feeling that this multi-coloured cotton tweed Chanel Spring-Summer 2021 Act 1 collection cardigan and black silk pants is how Vanessa dresses in everyday life out of the spotlight.

Lily Rose Depp:  The actress joined her mother at this event showcasing her abs in a Chanel Resort 2021 look which injected plenty of colour and youthful energy into the front row. I love that she opted for the heels rather than the sliders we saw in the look book. Lily styled her look with Chanel Fine Jewelry and a pink Chanel bag.

Taylor Russell:  The Canadian actress is a star on the rise, so I’m delighted to see her supported by Chanel.  Bringing some sparkle to the preceding, this look may not scream Chanel as much as the others, but she looked beautiful in this black iridescent jumpsuit from the Chanel Pre-Fall 2020 collection. Chanel Fine Jewelry completed her look, which would’ve also benefited from a Chanel bag as well methinks.   The Chanel Plexiglass Matryoshka Doll minaudiere would’ve looked good with this one-piece.

Gwei Lun Mei: I was so happy to see Gwen at this event, as she is one of my favourite Chanel ambassadors.  I love how the top and dual-colour belt on her black tweed jacket give this Chanel Resort 2021 look a luxe nautical vibe.  As always she was effortlessly chic.
