President Zuzana Čaputová of Slovakia Colour Co-ordinates Her Face Mask To Her Kuzmi Dress
Our new normal is seeing others wearing masks, or wearing them ourselves in the current climate, yet President Zuzana Čaputová of Slovakia broke the internet this weekend when she arrived for the swearing in ceremony for her new government wearing a face mask that co-ordinated with her Kuzmi dress on Saturday (March 21).
We all love to see women in power dress the part, and while some might find this a bit OTT, I have never been one to dismiss a head-to-toe colour-coordinated look.
Her outfit stood out even more because the rest of the attendees opted for standard light blue masks.
As we’re in the midst of a worldwide mask shortage, I would say this was quite genius on her part.
Christian Siriano is stepping up with a solution to the problem. He and his team are making face masks.
“If @NYGovCuomo says we need masks my team will help make some,” he tweeted on Friday, tagging New York governor Andrew Cuomo. “I have a full sewing team still on staff working from home that can help.”
TV medical dramas Including ‘Grey’s Anatomy’, ‘ The Good Doctor’ and ‘ ‘New Amsterdam’ have also donated supplies—including masks, gloves, and gowns—to the New York State Department of Health.
