Elsa Hosk’s Chic Home Workout Gear
If you’re anything like me you have been dusting off those dumbbells, ankle weights and kettle bells that have been languishing in your home this week.
Personally, I have never been a fan of homework outs, as I have deemed them not up to par with a sweaty Crossfit workout, or weight lifting session at my local Gymbox, plus my floorboards are a bit squeaky, so I don’t think my neighbours below will appreciate me doing star jumps above them.
So when British Prime Minister Boris Johnson closed all the gyms last week, I went into something of a blind panic as I hit the gym at least 5 times a week.
What’s going to happen to all those gains I have been working on post Christmas?
Therefore, I was somewhat forced to reconsider this homework out thing, and I have to say I have been getting a workout that’s equivalent to what I normally do in the gym – if the sweat dripping from my brow is anything to go by – thanks to fitspo girls and boys on Instagram who have been doing daily live home workouts to ensure we are on track to be bikini ready once we are finally allowed out this summer.
Some of my favourites to follow are Ciara Madden aka Body by Ciara. She is a female body (booty) trainer who works out of B O X R in London.
Jessica Olie who is a yogi.
Melissa Alcantara aka FitgurlMel, who is Kim Kardashian’s personal trainer.
And Natacha Oceane who has a great no equipment home work out on her YouTube channel.
Now it appears that celebrities are now sharing their home workouts with their followers.
Elsa Hosk enlisted the help of Megan Roup, founder of The Sculpt Society, to put us through a dance cardio workout. If I end up having abs like Elsa, I’m ready to sign up.
Much like my everyday wardrobe my gym gear rarely includes black, unless its an intense lower body day, so I was instantly attracted to the supermodel’s Year Of Ours outfit.
The ribbed look nods to the heritage of traditional American sportswear, paying homage to the concept of freedom of movement in a bright red hue.
I think I’ll be adding the yellow set to my gym wardrobe soon.
