SAG-AFTRA Foundation

SAG-AFTRA Foundation

The SAG-AFTRA Foundation events on Thursday (November 8) Friday (November 9) in New York City brought out a myriad of chic looks.

Rachel Weisz: The new mum looked effortless in Altuzarra Resort 2019 at the SAG-AFTRA Foundation Conversations: ‘The Favourite’ event with the strappy sandals echoing the dress’s textured fabric.

Felicity Jones: The British beauty went retro in Sies Marjan Spring 2019 for the ‘On The Basis Of Sex’ conversation event. This is her second look from this collection and I’m curious how this one will be received because the pink number is very different from her previous power suit.

Alison Brie: It might be autumn, but the ‘GLOW’ actress was projecting a carefree summer spirit in Markarian Spring 2019 at the 3rd Annual Patron Of The Artists Awards. Given how late it is in the season, a darker colour would have been more appropriate. Or, she should have saved it for an event somewhere warmer.

Emma Stone: The ‘Maniac’ actress joined Rachel. She demonstrated how to take white into autumn by pairing her cropped trousers with a Breton stripe jumper from Celine and trusty trench. Some might wish she removed the jacket indoors, but it does add to the sophisticated ensemble.

Rachel’s is OK, Emma looks fine ankles up. Allison looks nice. I wish Felicity’s outfit was in a another fabric.

I love Rachel Weisz, but this is really frumpy. I don’t understand.

I also love Felicity, but the fabric is the problem. I love that with her new stylist she is being challenged more and is therefore more interesting, but this satin pajama fabric *never) photographs well. It creates flab where there is none and always looks wrinkly. WHY do stylists keep on hoping with this fabric? It’s as bad as sateen, another Fabric Failure.

I think Sies Marjan can work for Felicity but not this piece.

I was on board for the first look. On the fence with the second
