Rachel Weisz In Christian Dior – MoMA’s Contenders Screening Of ‘The Favourite’

Fashion Blogger Catherine Kallon features Rachel Weisz In Christian Dior - MoMA's Contenders Screening Of 'The Favourite'

Following the Golden Globes, Rachel Weisz continued to favour black and white for the MoMA’s Contenders screening of ‘The Favourite’ on Tuesday (January 8).

I don’t think I’m alone in preferring the longer, nipped at the waist version of this Christian Dior Pre-Fall 2018 dress.

Both looks are sophisticated, and I’m sure some do prefer subtle sense of whimsy surrounding Rachel’s shift dress, but to me the lookbook feels modern in comparison, but that may come down to the styling.

The BAFTA Los Angeles Tea Party Red Carpet Roundup

Fashion Blogger Catherine Kallon features The BAFTA Los Angeles Tea Party

It was a jam-packed red carpet at The BAFTA Los Angeles Tea Party on Saturday (January 5) in Los Angeles, California, with 18 more more ladies joining Thandie Newton,  Emma StoneKiki LayneGemma Chan and Laura Harrier.

Emily Blunt: I was at first swept away by the beautiful Oscar de la Renta Pre Fall 2019 tulle polka dot dress, then I fell more in love with this look when I got to the yellow sandals.

Rachel Brosnahan: The colour of this weekend for Rachel was yellow. You were slightly underwhelmed by her Golden Globes offering, so how does this Christian Siriano Spring 2019 embellished sheath fare? The look was beautifully styled with yellow and gold Malone Souliers ‘Maureen’ pumps.

Rosamund Pike: It looks like the Pike x Givenchy union has a lot more to offer, and you’ll find me complaining following her Golden Globes outing and this flouncy Spring 2019 asymmetric dress. The only thing missing from this union is some colour every once in a while, as I’m worried this might hit a Rooney Mara “always black” brick wall. Pierre Hardy ‘Gena’ sandals completed her look.

Rachel Weisz In Celine – 2019 Golden Globe Awards

Rachel Weisz was also in attendance at the 2019 Golden Globe Awards on Sunday (January 6) in Beverly Hills, California.

Nominated for ‘The Favourite,’ the actress might have been inspired by the film which takes place in early 18th century England.

There was a certain period-style romance to this custom Celine dress with the frill of the ruffled bodice. Of course, the column silhouette made it modern, together with her easy waves and magenta lip.

A shiny choker necklace, Edie Parker clutch, and Jimmy Choo heels competed the look.

2018 Gotham Independent Film Awards

2018 Gotham Independent Film Awards

Here is a roundup from the 2018 Gotham Independent Film Awards on Monday (November 26) in New York City, which was also attended by Regina Hall and Kathryn Hahn.

Rachel Weisz: What may surprise you is that Rachel’s Michael Kors Collection white-and-black gown is covered with micro sequins. The new mum is looking as gorgeous as always.

Uzo Aduba: I really love this Balmain look for Uzo. The colour is gorgeous on her, and the embellishments really inject some glamour into this fairly simple design by the fashion house.

Kiki Layne: There were more embellishment to be had on this red carpet thanks to Kiki in her striking Miu Miu look. She’s looking like a young Whitney Houston here about to belt out ‘I Will Always Love You.’

2018 Governors Awards

2018 Governors Awards

The 2018 Governors Awards on Sunday (November 18) in Hollywood, California were a star-studded affair. Lovely ladies joined Rosamund Pike and Lupita Nyong’o.

Emily Blunt: The ‘Mary Poppins Returns’ actress glimmered in a custom Dundas top and skirt with Jimmy Choo shoes and David Yurman jewels. Despite the plethora of crop tops we have seen, this sharp-shouldered style held my attention thanks to the luxurious mix of metallics.

Gemma Chan: The flowing shape of the ‘Crazy Rich Asians’ star’s Stella McCartney ensemble was accented with the pleated shoulder detail. The finishing touches and wrinkles bring it down slightly.

Amy Adams: She lightened up in a whimsical Schiaparelli gown. The refined silhouette balances the girlish pink tones and heart detail. A crushed velvet Tyler Ellis clutch brought in more feminine charm.

Rachel Weisz In Chloe – ‘The Favourite’ LA Premiere

Rachel Weisz In Chloe - 'The Favourite' LA Premiere

Rachel Weisz attended the premiere of Yorgos Lanthimos’ ‘The Favourite’ in LA on Saturday (November 17).

Chloe love to design beautiful, feminine pieces with a laidback, breezy silhouette; and this bespoke pleated dress is no exception.

The look may not be vibrant in colour or fashion-forward, but its soft tone is perfect for Rachel’s colouring.

I would imagine it moves fluidly when she walks.

SAG-AFTRA Foundation

SAG-AFTRA Foundation

The SAG-AFTRA Foundation events on Thursday (November 8) Friday (November 9) in New York City brought out a myriad of chic looks.

Rachel Weisz: The new mum looked effortless in Altuzarra Resort 2019 at the SAG-AFTRA Foundation Conversations: ‘The Favourite’ event with the strappy sandals echoing the dress’s textured fabric.

Felicity Jones: The British beauty went retro in Sies Marjan Spring 2019 for the ‘On The Basis Of Sex’ conversation event. This is her second look from this collection and I’m curious how this one will be received because the pink number is very different from her previous power suit.
