Menswear Round Up

Men Tuesday 1

The boys of summer have been heating up the scene over the last few days, sauntering around in a variety of sartorial statements. From premieres to polo (and a flash of pink), take a peek at the lineup.

James Marsden: With a little bit of scruff and a lot of suave style, the actor donned an impeccably fitted, grey plaid Dior Homme suit, worn over a crisp white shirt and black tie, at the ‘2 Guns’ New York premiere at SVA Theatre last night. But, let’s face it: With that chiseled stare, who’s looking at the suit.

RuPaul: The entertainer skipped the drag, but was still pretty in pink at Fergie’s ‘Gayby’ baby shower at the SLS Hotel in Los Angeles, California on Sunday. Only RuPaul could flaunt a slim, pastel tuxedo with white racing stripes down the legs and white strap-happy sandals. Tickled pink?

Eddie Redmayne: The British cutie joined Alice Eve at the Audi International Polo at Guards Polo Club in Egham, England on Sunday. The casual-cool vibe of this light denim-look suit and baby-blue button-down is undeniably refreshing, especially when polished up with the flourish of a pocket square. He also slid on a pair of matching Toms shoes, which were a perfect if not unexpected fit.

Men Tuesday 3

Mark Wahlberg: The actor joined James at the ‘2 Guns’ New York premiere, also embracing the scruff and the squares in his own more traditional, dark checquered suit, paired with a wide satin tie.

Miles Teller: The up-and-coming star was also part of the plaid parade, when he attended ‘The Spectacular Now’ screening at The Crow’s Nest last Friday in Montauk, New York. His summery Etro blue linen suit and check shirt, worn with a brown belt and loafers, had the Hamptons written all over it.

Denzel Washington: Rounding out the ‘2 Guns’ New York premiere posse, the dapper actor relaxed on the red carpet with his wife, Pauletta Pearson Washington. The black T-shirt and pants almost got a pass, until I saw the reflective running shoes. When it comes to sneakers on the red carpet, there are far more creative options to be had.
