Celebrities Front Row at Louis Vuitton Spring 2027

Louis Vuitton presented its Spring 2027 collection, designed by Nicolas Ghesquière, at the Cour Carrée du Louvre in Paris, and as always, I noticed a few trends in the front row.

The Unexpected

Emma Stone and Ana de Armas tend to play it relatively safe with their Louis Vuitton front row looks, so both were welcome surprises. Emma’s electric-blue tailoring had a stronger silhouette than we usually see from her, while Ana went tougher in black leather with cut-outs and buckled detailing. Two welcome changes of pace. Did either woman pull her look off for you?

Cool Girl New Yorkers

The front row had plenty of New York representation, with Jennifer Connelly joining Keri Russell, Chloë Sevigny and the Haim sisters.

There’s a lot going on with Jennifer Connelly’s look, including some seriously divisive lace-up boots, but on Jennifer it works. It always works. She has never played it safe with Louis Vuitton, and I don’t ever want her to.

Keri Russell will always serve up a sophisticated, sculptural point of view, and she found the perfect Louis Vuitton look. The only thing not working for me is the monogram bag. I wish it had been black.

Chloë Sevigny will always give you the most out-in-Greenwich look, and this floral dress is yet another perfect example. Florals, volume and a bag tucked under her arm. It’s perfect.

Este, Alana and Danielle Haim each approached Louis Vuitton differently, but the leather outerwear and monogram bags make them look like a unit without being overly coordinated. Alana stands out in her purple iridescent look, but that is a good thing. Had she worn another tan look like her sisters, the trio would have felt too coordinated.

Ruffle Effect

Zendaya already had her moment in a separate post, but she wasn’t alone in embracing ruffles at Louis Vuitton, and she fits into this group seamlessly.

Lisa mixed frothy lilac and blue ruffles with a fitted bodice and leather mini, with the retro hair completing one of the sweeter looks in this group.

Chloë Grace Moretz has never been shy about making a statement in Louis Vuitton, and she went in the opposite direction, pairing her elaborate cropped ruffled top with cargo trousers. There’s a lot competing for attention, but somehow it feels right for a Louis Vuitton front row.

The Colour Blockers

Sophie Turner will always present anything but a safe option in Louis Vuitton. We have colour-blocking, a bright blue and tan combo, quarterback shoulders and white pumps, yet I’m sold.

Saoirse Ronan, who has been taking a more understated approach under Danielle Goldberg, gave us a welcome injection of colour here. It’s still relatively simple by Louis Vuitton standards, but the red, tan and black combination gives the look far more personality.

Victoria Song’s colour palette has a retro feel to it. Orange and yellow will always evoke the ’70s for me. It’s fun and playful – including those boots – but I know they won’t be for everyone. I think the only other Louis Vuitton girl I want to see wearing them is Sophie Turner.

From Awards Season To The Front Row

Wunmi Mosaku and Rhea Seehorn already have major Louis Vuitton moments behind them this year. Wunmi wore the house on Oscar night, while Rhea collected both her Emmy and Golden Globe in Louis Vuitton. Their front-row looks offered a more relaxed take on those established relationships with the house.

Blackout

When you think of Louis Vuitton, bold colour often comes to mind, but four guests proved that black can be just as effective within Nicolas Ghesquière’s world.

Felix delivered the sharpest take on black, with the cropped jacket anchoring the silhouette. Jaden Smith kept things utilitarian in a pocketed leather jacket and cargo trousers.

Odessa Young went classic in a black coat dress, with the scalloped lapels and gold buttons giving the simplicity just enough character. Noémie Merlant chose a cape-style mini coat. I’m still not sold on those white shoes with the monogram bag.

Textural

Olivia Nuss and Marina Foïs went all in on texture. Olivia’s mint looped jacket plays against sheer blue layers and pinstriped trousers, while Marina’s shaggy black-and-white top makes texture the entire focus of her look.

Jacket Required

Catherine Deneuve and Owen Thiele kept things classic, with their jackets doing most of the work. Catherine surprised me by choosing a textured varsity style with leather sleeves, while Owen’s cropped tan jacket gave his look a sharper finish.

Preppy vs Deconstructed

Thuso Mbedu went preppy in pink houndstooth, while Sophie Thatcher headed in the opposite direction with a deconstructed mix of ruffles, knitwear and utilitarian layers. Sadly, she didn’t pull it off. Two completely different takes on Louis Vuitton.

Emma Stone, Ana de Armas, Jennifer Connelly, Sophie Turner, Wunmi Mosaku and Keri Russell, all styled their look with pieces from the Color Blossom and Le Damier de Louis Vuitton Fine Jewellery collections
