Front Row @ Gucci Resort 2019

The Gucci Cruise 2019 fashion show took place at the Promenade des Alyscamps in Arles, France on Wednesday (May 30), which saw a host of their official ambassadors and champions of the brand take their front row seats.

Salma Hayek Pinault: I have always maintained that I haven’t been a fan of runway Gucci for Salma, but this custom Gucci Prince Of Wales peak lapel suit I’m fully on board with. I adore the girlie touches such as the pink velvet trims and lace shirt with crystal detailing. I can’t say I’m a fan of the pink ‘Sylvie’ mini bag though. It feels like something Paris Hilton would wear.

Li Yuchun aka Chris Lee: After her successful outing at Cannes, the Asian performer wore a Gucci Fall 2018 look with an Americana touch thanks to the embroidered NY Yankees ™ applique. I know some of you aren’t fans of logo heavy looks, but I feel Li Yuchun pulls off the GG canvas shorts with relaxed ease without coming across as a logo maniac.

Soko: I have a feeling clown comparisons will be made when it comes to Soko’s Gucci Spring 2018 Elton John inspired yellow and black oversized check suit. If anyone has the personality to pull this off, it’s Soko.

Saoirse Ronan In Cushnie et Ochs – ‘On Chesil Beach’ Special Screening

Saoirse Ronan was in attendance at the ‘On Chesil Beach’ London screening on Tuesday (May 8).

Upon seeing this Cushine et Ochs Fall 2018 outfit, I was struck with a slight sense of déjà vu as the flared trousers brought to mind her look at the ‘Mary Queen Of Scots’ CinemaCon presentation.

I was pleased to see these flowing pants were hemmed just to the right length so the dramatic leg opening could be appreciated.

The liquid wave of the trousers was an interesting mix against the gentle folds of the sheer top. The cohesiveness was courtesy of the black colour palette and the soft sense of movement from all pieces.

Dacade platforms and Loucite by Alison earrings rounded out the outfit.

Saoirse Ronan In Ashish – ‘Mary Queen Of Scots’ CinemaCon Presentation

After attending the Tribeca Film Festival, Saoirse Ronan made her way to CinemaCon 2018 for the ‘Mary Queen Of Scots’ presentation on Wednesday (April 25) in Las Vegas, Nevada.

Pale tones and ethereal silhouettes are the things that spring to mind when we think of her style, but she presented a different take on whimsy in Ashish Fall 2018.

The multicoloured top festooned with sequins and beads in a jubilant floral pattern enlivened the black trousers.

The fun retro sentiment and stronger colours were a change but the look still felt true to who she is, and she carried it off with aplomb.

Laurence Dacade shoes added height under the flowing pants.

Saoirse Ronan In Michael Kors Collection – ‘The Seagull’ Tribeca Film Festival Premiere

Saoirse Ronan had an impressive awards season run, so I was excited to see her back on the red carpet for ‘The Seagull’ Tribeca Film Festival premiere on Saturday (April 21) in New York City.

Like Lily James, Saoirse was also delivering the glories of a well-tailored suit in this Michael Kors Collection design paired with Giuseppe Zanotti shoes.

I love the polished lines presented here, but also its subtle, carefree insouciance.

Some might have discounted the beige-y nude hue immediately, citing it as one that would wash out the alabaster complexion of the blonde actress. But, on the contrary, there was an underlying luminosity to it all.

Saoirse Ronan In Calvin Klein by Appointment – 2018 Oscars

‘Lady Bird’ star Saiorse Ronan debuted a new ’do at the 2018 Oscars on Sunday (March 4) in Hollywood, California.

Pretty in pink, she wore a darling Calvin Klein by Appointment strapless gown styled with matching Christian Louboutin pumps along with a Jimmy Choo clutch and Cartier jewels.

This would simply be a sheath dress were it not for the oversized bow and long train at the back to make it Oscar-worthy.

As for that sleek bob, it was a very suiting way to added a modern edge to the girly charm of the look.

I did wonder at times if the strapless bodice wasn’t about to slip right down.
