Celebrities at the 2026 Gotham Awards
Here is a roundup from the 2026 Gotham Awards red carpet, joining Michelle Pfeiffer, Grace Gummer, Chase Infiniti and Kerry Washington.

Lace, But Make It Sculptural
Kate Mara wore House of Gilles, delivering a look that balanced romance with structure. What prevents this from leaning bridal-adjacent are the sculpted hips and abbreviated hem, which shift the mood into something more fashion-focused.

Soft Ruffles, Strong Presence
Aja Naomi King floated onto the red carpet in an Ulla Johnson Spring 2025 cascading ruffled gown that felt deeply romantic.

Frosted Sparkle
Brittany Snow wore a Reem Acra Spring 2025 icy blue embellished gown, with the sheer overlay giving the look a soft luminosity. I am not always a fan of drop-waist dresses, but the bow detail added a touch of old-school evening glamour.

Minimalism Masterclass
When Claire Danes does simplicity, it lands harder. This look relied on a dramatic plunging neckline and clean silhouette for impact, and it worked. Styled with Belperron jewels, this is giving Narciso Rodriguez energy, but I am waiting for Petra Flannery or Claire herself to confirm on Instagram.

Autumnal Vibes
Haley Lu Richardson wore Donna Karan Fall 2004, and while this feels very autumnal, I do love this archival pull, as it suits her easy approach to the red carpet, letting the dress do all the talking.

Wild Side Revival
Joy Sunday wore Roberto Cavalli Fall 2003, serving unapologetic Y2K glamour in an animal-print gown that skimmed the body beautifully. Yes, the Kardashians have worn this dress to death, and Cavalli’s collaboration with SKIMS also pushed this look into overplayed territory, but I still love this on Joy.

Party In The Front
Lili Reinhart wore Valentino Pre-Fall 2026, and while the silhouette stayed classic and the crystal embellishment gave the gown enough visual interest to feel event-worthy, I am glad we are not seeing this from the back. Fully seeing the black panel would kill the impact for me.

Silver Texture Study
Myha’la stepped out in vintage Gucci wearing a silver strapless dress textured with swirling embellishment and a feather-like hem, which has become something of a calling card for her.

No Longer Playing The Game?
Odessa A’zion skipped traditional eveningwear in favour of tailoring, wearing a pinstriped jumpsuit with a vivid red knit top. The whole thing had an irreverent edge that stood apart from the gowns on the carpet in what felt like an anti-fashion stance. Or maybe this has been her true style all along.

Black Dress Simplicity
Rachel Sennott gave us a rare simple, classic moment in a black gown that relied on subtle sparkle and draped construction for effect.

Quiet Precision
Rebecca Hall wore Sportmax Fall 2026 with jewels from KATKIM and Anita Ko, delivering one of the sharper minimalist moments of the night, proving once again that Rebecca rarely overcomplicates things.

Colour Shift Dressing
Rhea Seehorn wore a Valentino Spring 2026 dress with plenty of twists. In terms of the design and the decision to add a mustard satin panel and black bow, those I can deal with, but the Valentino Garavani Rockstuds again felt too aggressive for the dress.

Barely-There Drama
Sarah Pidgeon wore a Tom Ford by Haider Ackermann backless jumpsuit styled with vintage Belperron jewels. The clean black silhouette and open sides gave the look a striking simplicity, proving that sometimes the strongest impact comes from a sharply edited idea.
