Claire Danes In Schiaparelli Haute Couture – 2018 Glamour Women of the Year Awards

Claire Danes In Schiaparelli Haute Couture - 2018 Glamour Women of the Year Awards

Claire Danes attended the 2018 Glamour Women of the Year Awards on Monday (November 12) in New York City alongside Amber Heard and Lupita Nyong’o.

Taupe can be a tricky colour to carry off on the red carpet given its tendency to wash people out or not read well.

The actress carried off the putty hue in her Schiaparelli Spring 2018 Haute Couture dress thanks to the metallic embellishment.

It brought the necessary contrast and luminosity and an almost tribal feel.

The metallic sandals completed the tonal effect.

Claire Danes In Oscar de la Renta - 20th Anniversary Gala To Celebrate Hudson River Park

Claire Danes returned to the red carpet for the 20th Anniversary Gala to Celebrate Hudson River Park on Thursday (October 11) in New York City.

The actress wore an Oscar de la Renta Fall 2018 dress featuring striking red sequins, crafted into vibrant botanical imagery that offers a lively ambiance to this illusion gown.

Between the sheer elements and red embellishments, this piece exudes enchantment.

Bordeux velvet pumps – a favourite of Duchess Kate – complete her look.

Claire Danes In Valentino – 2018 Tony Awards

Claire Danes took her maternity style to the 2018 Tony Awards on Sunday (June 10) in New York City.

I love that she’s not shying away from statement pieces in classically luxe compositions – case in point the leopard spots which cover her Valentino Pre-Fall 2018 gown in rose-pink and black sequins.

Tiers add structure and a playfulness to the look, which her heavily kohl-rimmed eyes gives the look an unexpected edge which I’m living for.

Would you agree that Claire’s maternity style has seen her hit a rich vein of form style-wise?

2018 CFDA Fashion Awards Red Carpet Roundup

Here is a roundup of some of the other attendees at the 2018 CFDA Fashion Awards on Monday (June 4) held at the Brooklyn Museum in New York City, joining Cate Blanchett, Kim Kardashian, Sarah Paulson and many more.

Nina Dobrev: I really wanted more from Nina. More colour, more magic, more wow and something unexpected. I feel like we’ve seen this Zac Posen dress a thousand times.

Whoopi Goldberg: Do not adjust your sets, this is Whoopi wearing a hot pink in Christian Siriano Spring 2018 suit with a matching hat that wouldn’t look out of place at the Kentucky Derby. Even if you don’t like the fit or the comfortable shoes, at least this is guaranteed to put a smile on your face.

Claire Danes In Dolce & Gabbana & Rochas – Vulture Festival & ‘A Kid Like Jake’ New York Premiere

Claire Danes gave us another look at her maternity style while promoting her new film, ‘ A Kid Like Jake’ this week.

Vulture Festival: Roses in full bloom has always been an emblem of the hopelessly romantic designers Dolce & Gabbana. I love how they enhance the charisma of this wrap dress and the radiance of the actress. Claire couldn’t have styled this look any better with velvet pink pumps and a bold red lip.

‘A Kid Like Jake’ New York Premiere: Things took a more glamorous turn for the premiere, as Claire dazzled in a Rochas Fall 2018 dress which was crafted with the greatest attention to detail. Both gold or silver accessories would’ve worked with this dress, but I love how the gold adds a more opulent touch.

Claire Danes In Marni – 2018 Met Gala

Claire Danes was one of the bevvy of beauties in attendance at the 2018 Met Gala on Monday (May 7) in New York City.

The actress was clad in custom Marni. It was certainly a punchy look between the colour-blocking and statement bag. As far as the theme goes, this could have appeared on another red carpet and no one would have been the wiser about the message.

Some might feel that there was a missed opportunity to tie her pregnancy into gala’s theme. It might have been the obvious route, but I would have liked to see her experiment more with it.

That being said, she still looks radiant.

Front Row @ Prada Resort 2019

So many pretties (and a few handsome lads, too) were at the Prada Resort 2019 presentation on Friday (May 4) in New York City. The fashion house’s quirky, colourful sensibilities made for quite the eclectic front row.

Lily Collins: Grunge met girly in this Prada Fall 2018 look that threw caution to the wind when it came to tradition. Tube top aside, the schoolgirl pleats and socks took on a punky spirit with the skirt’s techy, polyurethane-like overlay and tall platform shoes. The lilac eye shadow and fashion-face clutch looked like they belonged to another outfit—but it was all a part of the funky charms.

Poppy Delevingne: I don’t think this hot-pink hue of this chiffon and sequin Prada Fall 2018 frock could have gotten any hotter. But, Poppy wasn’t about to have a customary pretty-in-pink moment, as she added the edgy-goth oxblood lip and black heels to dramatize the effect.

Dianna Agron: Even though there was a lot going on with this dimensionally embellished, neon-floral-studded Prada Fall 2018 design, I didn’t find the chiffon-coated dress overbearing. I love how she let the frock be front and centre by keeping her styling on the basic side. The one bold slick of the coral lip was the perfect finish.
