Sandra Bullock Embraces Gothic Glamour for ‘Practical Magic 2’
Sandra Bullock attended the LA premiere of Practical Magic 2, held at Directors Village on Monday alongside her co-stars.

The majority of you weren’t sold on her Givenchy and Erdem looks in London, nor the corseted look she wore to the low-key screening, but I have a feeling this custom Louis Vuitton gown will be the look many of you have been crying out for.
And I’m right there with you.
I love when Sandra gives us a dramatic red carpet moment, but this quieter black velvet gown is easily one of her best in some time, by some distance.
What makes it so good is the balance. Part almost prim, part undeniably sensual. Against the black velvet, the stark white collar and cuffs make the look even more striking.

If Sandra was going to lean into the gothic side of Practical Magic 2, this was exactly how I wanted her to do it. There are no obvious references to witchcraft and nothing that makes this feel as though she dressed specifically to match the film. Yet the black velvet and silhouette place her perfectly within its world.
That distinction is what makes this so successful for me. It belongs on this red carpet, but it could just as easily work at any major premiere.
After several looks that left many wanting more, this feels like the Sandra Bullock red carpet moment many had been waiting for.
And I won’t even ask for the hair to be swept up on this occasion. The side-parted waves add to the smouldering sensuality of it all.
Perfection from head to toe.
