Tuesday was a busy day for Rachel McAdams, who started things off by receiving a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame, before her guest appearance on Jimmy Kimmel Live, where she was promoting her new film, Send Help.

Some of you might be looking at the actress in this Burc Akyol Spring 2025 bustier peplum top and feel that the look was much chicer with the simple black trousers we saw on the runway, and I wholeheartedly agree. But by the same token, I like that she made the look her own. I’m not crazy about the look by any means. I would’ve liked a skirt in a slightly brighter tone, but kudos for not solely relying on the runway for styling inspiration.

For her guest appearance, she opted to wear an A.W.A.K.E. MODE blazer midi dress. As we all know, the label is known for its unique detailing, and while it’s not immediately visible in the picture as she’s walking, the hem features notched lapels, an unexpected structural detail that creates a subtle trompe l’œil effect. This was chic and playful at once, and far more in tune with her red carpet style than the first look.
