Kate Hudson Wore Stella McCartney To The ‘Song Sung Blue’ London Premiere
Kate Hudson attended the Song Sung Blue London premiere at Picturehouse Central on Friday, and I’ll be honest — I went in hopeful. After the Vera Wang Haute disaster in Berlin, things couldn’t get much worse, right?

Sadly… yes. Because she arrived in a custom Stella McCartney blue lace dress that felt like a second sucker punch.
I’ll give the dress one thing: Kate is clearly committing to a blue theme. Beyond that, it’s another miss. I genuinely thought she and Stella were close, but this look has me questioning that friendship, because no friend would send you out in something this unforgiving.
This could’ve been simple in the best sense — a sheer lace gown with a bit of drama. Instead, the glaring underlayer, which stops short of the hem, completely disrupts the line of the dress. Add in the exaggerated hips and those shoulder pads and the whole thing collapses.
I know many of you already struggle with Stella’s designs, but even by her hit-or-miss standards, this is one of my least favourite offerings from the British designer in a long while.
Stylist: Sophie Lopez.
