The Clooney Foundation for Justice, now in its fourth year, honoured courageous defenders of justice at The Albies—named after Justice Albie Sachs for his pivotal role in ending apartheid in South Africa. The ceremony took place at the Natural History Museum in London, a suitably grand setting for a night dedicated to humanity, courage, and compassion.

To say that many of you weren’t entirely sold on Amal Clooney’s Oscar de la Renta look at The Jay Kelly New York Film Festival premiere would be an understatement, which followed the Venice Film Festival archival moment that also divided opinion. But on this occasion, Amal was back to her most elegant, assured best in Atelier Versace.

This is the version of Amal we know and adore—sophisticated, statuesque, and timeless. As much as she loves to explore so many different labels, Versace has always been her sartorial safe haven, and once again, the brand delivered.

Is it ground-breaking? No. Some might argue this silhouette feels familiar, but that doesn’t diminish its impact. The fit, the structure, and the drapery gown are perfection. What truly elevates the look, however, is the rich chocolate-brown hue—a colour that flatters her golden skin tone and feels refreshing for someone who tends to gravitate towards lighter hues.

And let’s not forget George, looking every bit the dashing counterpart in a classic Armani tuxedo. Together, they embody timeless red carpet sophistication.
