Alba Rohrwacher Wore Chanel To The ‘Resurrection’ Cannes Film Festival Premiere

If we are judging Alba Rohrwacher’s style during the 2025 Cannes Film Festival, it is clear that she is no longer one to be pigeonholed, and her late-night appearance at the premiere of Resurrection proved just that.

Jury duty doesn’t mean sartorial seriousness, and thank goodness for that—especially when Chanel is involved.

Wearing a custom sequined tweed strapless dress with a tulle overlay which feels inspired by the Spring 2025 collection’s dreamy ether, Alba gave us sparkle, and softness in one seamless breath.

Now, I can already hear the chorus: “Isn’t this a bit too twee for Alba?” Not for me. I’m not in the camp that thinks tulle, puffy sleeves and volume equate to saccharine. And the matching sequined tweed trousers? That detail alone asserts a modern, confident sensibility.

What I really love is how this look adds another layer to the fashion story Alba’s been telling throughout the festival—she’s been giving us variety, texture, and mood.
