Women In Film Honors Sponsored By Max Mara

Lili Reinhart, wearing Max Mara, attends WIF Honors celebrating Women “Forging Ahead” in Entertainment

On Friday (October 28), WIF (Women In Film, Los Angeles) celebrated outstanding women who are laying the foundation to transform Hollywood for the better, with the 2022 WIF Honors Celebrating Women ‘Forging Forward’ in Entertainment supported by sponsor Max Mara for the 19th year.

Lili Reinhart was the recipient of the Women In Film Max Mara Face of the Future Award.

The actress was looking very elegant wearing a sketched floral print two piece Max Mara Spring 2023 look which may be giving you a case of déjà vu because Adut Akech, who originally wore the runway look, wore this same look to the CNMI Sustainable Fashion Awards 2022 back in September.

Thuso Mbedu, wearing Sportmax, attends WIF Honors celebrating Women “Forging Ahead” in Entertainment

Thuso Mbedu’s style is usually very detail oriented, but on this occasion she opted for minimalism and smooth clean lines wearing Sportmax Siberia dress from the Fall 2022 collection.

Am I the only one who loves this dress even more in the rich chocolate brown hue which Thuso selected?

The Max Mara Fall 2022 runway was full of oversized trousers, but Kathryn Newton opted to swerve that style which I think was a wise choice.

There was a risk of her petite frame being overwhelmed by those trousers, and this clean, sophisticated silhouette feels perfectly suited to her style.

Opting for the shorter version of this Sportmax Fall 2022 dress ensured Maria Bakalova’s playful style was presented on this red carpet.

Lashana Lynch attends WIF Honors celebrating Women “Forging Ahead” in Entertainment

Lashana Lynch clearly still trusts Fendi following the last outing, surprisingly.

On this occasion she wore a black FF jacquard silk dress with white boots that made me want to raise a white flag and admit defeat.

I give up.

Olivia Wilde, wearing Saint Laurent, attends WIF Honors celebrating Women “Forging Ahead” in Entertainment

Karla Welch must have had free reign when it comes to the Saint Laurent collections, as she loves to dress her clients Hailey Bieber and Olivia Wilde in pieces from the Spring 2023 collection.

When Olivia last wore a Saint Laurent long sleeve black dress to the ‘Don’t Worry Darling’ New York premiere, the cut-out was at the back.  This time it is at the front.  Plus it was on trend with the hooded element.

Saint Laurent bangles continue to be a prerequisite for this and the Fall 2022 collections.

Carey Mulligan attends WIF Honors celebrating Women “Forging Ahead” in Entertainment

Carey Mulligan wearing a minimalist black dress with minimal (if any makeup) should feel like Groundhog Day, but I know her “moment” is around the corner.

I know some of you are kinda frustrated by Quinta Brunson’s style, as you wish to see her Emmys magic recreated, and I think she was able to do that with this Maria Lucia Hohan dress.

Or as the designer herself put it, “it’s a sculpture not a dress.”

And I would have to agree, as this way this piece sculpts her body is breath-taking.
