Dolce & Gabbana Alta Moda Party

Lupita Nyong'o Dolce & Gabbana Alta Moda Party

Dolce & Gabbana closed their Alta Moda extravaganza with a party held at Castello Maniace in Siracusa, Sicily on Monday (July 11).

Lupita Nyong’o’s third look of the event was a custom Dolce & Gabbana Sicilian orange paillette mini dress accented with handmade fabric flowers and crystal fringe.

I love Lupita when commits to a look, but I would’ve edited out the floral crown, then either the shoulder detail or the shoes.

Sometimes too much is too much.  And this was just a little too much.

Lucy Hale Dolce & Gabbana Alta Moda Party

Who would’ve thought that the Carretto print and a zebra print could work together so well?

This clashing prints from Dolce & Gabbana is something that I continue to love.  We don’t often get looks like this from Lucy Hale, so I love that she wasn’t afraid to step out of her comfort zone this weekend.

Ciara Dolce & Gabbana Alta Moda Party

It seems that you weren’t fans of Ciara’s first two looks, and I have a feeling that this custom Dolce & Gabbana look will garner the same feelings.

I love how this feels like a mix of past and present seasons and it has that grandiose feel that we would expect from a superstar like Ciara.

I also like how it wasn’t a predictable look.  Ciara will give us the same silhouette in Cavalli, Dundas and Dolce, so for me, I found this refreshing, even if I didn’t entirely love it.

Emma Roberts Dolce & Gabbana Alta Moda Party

Emma Roberts’ custom Dolce & Gabbana black silk bias cut gown with bejeweled necklace detail may not have stood out like the others, but you’ll be happy that this gown isn’t completely sheer, as the skirt is only sheer from the thigh downwards.

Anitta Dolce & Gabbana Alta Moda Party

Anitta wore a Dolce & Gabbana custom fuchsia silk ruched gown with crystal mesh peekaboo slits that was giving me strong Balmain Fall 2009 vibes.

Drew Barrymore Dolce & Gabbana Alta Moda Party

Drew Barrymore was giving me ‘ode to Madonna,’ ‘child of the ’80s’ vibe in this combination.

Her first look remains her best from this event.
