Get The Look: Lucy Hale’s Teen Choice Awards Bold Green Beauty

Lucy Hale’s ultra-cool green beauty look was certainly the most memorable beauty moment at this year’s Teen Choice Awards.

Makeup artist Kelsey Deenihan drew from the colorful tones of Lucy’s Mary Katrantzou dress for the evening and created a summery green eye look that dazzled on the red carpet. Here’s how she created this bold look:

SKIN: For this look, Kelsey didn’t want to mask Lucy’s flawless skin and chose lightweight products to correct and enhance Lucy’s already radiant complexion. She first corrected any redness on Lucy’s skin with Clé de PeauBeauté Concealer Broad Spectrum SPF 25 in shades Almond and Beige and then applied La Prairie Skin Caviar Essence-in-Foundation SPF 25 to the skin.

CHEEKS: Once a flawless canvas was achieved, Kelsey moved on to defining Lucy’s cheeks and adding a dash of color. For a soft contour, Kelsey used AVON True Color Transforming Contour Stick to the cheeks and blended for a polished look. For a hint of color, La Prairie Cellular Radiance Cream Blush in Rose Glow was seamlessly diffused onto the cheeks.

EYES: To create the mesmerizing green eye look, Kelsey opted for carefully applied layers of color. She began by applying Chanel Ombre Premiere Longwear Cream Eyeshadow in shade 824 Verderame onto the lids, blended into the crease and under the lower lash line. The creamy texture and lasting quality of this product served as an ideal base for the next powdered shadows to properly adhere and appear more vibrant. Kelsey then applied the shimmery emerald shade from the Kat Von D 10th Anniversary Palette atop the cream eyeshadow. Finally, for a metallic, multifaceted finish, Kryolan Pure Pigments in Pure Envy was applied to center of the lids and the inner corners which made Lucy’s bright eyes pop. Kelsey finished off the glamorous eye look with a few coats of Avon True Color Love at 1st Lash Mascara which added lots of drama to Lucy’s naturally voluminous lashes.

LIPS: Kelsey wanted to keep the lips simple and didn’t want them to compete with the bold eye look. Interestingly, she opted out of a traditional nude and decided on sheer, glass-like textured lips.Kelsey coated Lucy’s full pout with Avon True Color Lips Glow Lip Gloss in Clear for a delicate lacquered finish.

Lucy Hale In Mary Katrantzou – 2018 Teen Choice Awards

Lucy Hale In Mary Katrantzou - 2018 Teen Choice Awards

Following the St. Jude Luncheon, Lucy Hale was back on the red carpet for the 2018 Teen Choice Awards on Sunday (August 12) in Inglewood, California.

On this occasion the mood felt more daring and experimental in Mary Katrantzou’s Fall 2018 dress.

While the runway version was decorated with colourful sequins and beads, Lucy’s commercial version consists of a velvet and chiffon print which remarkably creates the same jaw-dropping effect.

Keeping the accessories simple was the smart choice, but so was amping up the drama with vampy green eye makeup.

Lucy Hale In Oscar de la Renta - St. Jude Luncheon

Lucy Hale hosted a luncheon for St. Jude’s to kick-off Childhood Cancer Awareness Month on Friday (August 10) in Los Angeles, California.

I was immediately impressed by the timeless appeal of her Oscar de la Renta dress.

Fit to absolute perfection, I love how this frock emphasises the waistline and how the draped fabric adds some modernity.

Stuart Weitzman sandals and EF Collection jewels completed her look.

Opting not to go matchy kept the look fresh and youthful.

Jonathan Simkhai LA Store Opening

Jonathan Simkhai opened a new retail store and brand headquarters in Los Angeles, and invited a host of stars to help him celebrate on Wednesday (July 25) in West Hollywood, California.

Rumer Willis: This Jonathan Simkhai side slit dress is everything I want from a summery look. Light, airy, breezy cut-outs and a contrasting shoe for added interest.

Brittany Snow: Feminine and effortlessly pretty, I love this white dress for its intricate embroidery for a girlish finish, and pristine attention-to-detail. My only wish is that Brittany had opted for sandals or open toe wedges for the complete summery feel.

Soko: The Gucci muse announced her pregnancy on Instagram four days ago, and if you were in any doubt, she hit the red carpet in a crop top and short skirt.   This has to be one of the boldest maternity looks we have seen on the red carpet.

Lucy Hale In Monique Lhuillier – ‘Truth Or Dare’ LA Premiere

I was left awestruck when I saw Lucy Hale at the ‘Truth Or Dare’ LA premiere on Thursday (April 12).

The actress showed a completely different side in a black Monique Lhuillier Fall 2018 gown.

The style was brimming with dark romance with the moody colour palette, lace details and soft frills on the skirt.

There is a Victorian feel to the long-sleeved style, but the plunging neckline prevents it from looking like a period costume.

The dark sentiment was perfect for the premiere of a horror film.

Her black cherry lipstick completed the spellbinding effect.

Did you like seeing this side of her?
