Guggenheim International Gala

Guggenheim International Gala

The princess mood continued at the Guggenheim International Gala on Thursday (November 15) in New York City with celebrities joining Gwyneth Paltrow.

Jorja Smith: The singer wore a Dior Haute Couture pink sunray-pleated tulle ball gown with Dior shoes and Dior Fine Jewelry. The nipped waist and low neck balance the floaty skirt and the straps merge at the back in a tied-up design. A sleeker hairstyle, or this one brushed off her shoulders, would have showcased the details better.

Jaime King: Proving that there is more than one version of tie-dye, the actress donned a Dior Spring-Summer 2019 patterned silk dress with Dior black patent leather J’adior slingback shoes, a Dior clutch, Dior Fine Jewelry and occasionally a black wool hooded cape. The frock was a bohemian beauty and it had enough formality for the event.

Karlie Kloss: The model’s dusty pink Dior Haute Couture Fall-Winter 2019 organza ball gown will draw comparisons to Jorja’s but the vaporous sleeves and millefeuille-pleated skirt present a different mood. She toned down the sultriness with a bandeau top underneath the bodice.

2018 Guggenheim International Gala Pre-Party

2018 Guggenheim International Gala Pre-Party,

There were nearly too many Christian Dior-clad darlings to count at the Guggenheim International Gala Pre-Party, made possible by Dior, at the Guggenheim Museum on Wednesday (November 14) in New York City.

Jaime King: This may have been a Dior Spring 2019 ensemble, but it also showcased the best of winter white. I love the relaxed, slightly outsized proportions of the sweater in partnership with the tonal, dimensional floral embroidery of the skirt, which made this such a modern, poetic interpretation of classic femininity. She completed the look with nude, ankle-wrap wedges and a Dior Resort 2019 embroidered saddle bag, which was designed to stand out.

Olivia Palermo: I’d almost call this Dior Resort 2019 look minimalistic by Olivia’s standards, as it is worn without the addition of a bold statement accessory or two. However, the look was made to stand alone with the sharp structure of the jacket and the richly sleek edge of the pleated, leather skirt.

Jorja Smith: Va-va-voom is what Jorja was giving us in this red tulle corset dress.

Front Row @ Chanel Spring 2019

Front Row @ Chanel Spring 2019

The front row of the Chanel Spring 2019 presentation, hosted during Paris Fashion Week on Tuesday (October 2), saw a group of chic Chanel darlings clad in their designer best — amidst the faux tropical beach-inspired surroundings.

Sylvia Hoeks: Like Dree Hemingway, Sylvia has also recently joined the short list of beauties with a buzz cut. And, although I did not recognize her at first, her striking countenance can definitely handle this new look. It also complements the edgy side of her style personality — which is captured in this menswear shirting mixed with the silken pyjama-style pants.

Mia Goth: I like the use of silver-metallic accents in the belt and bag to cut through the more precious mood of this baby-blue tweed frock.

Poppy Delevingne: I know that it was a sandy endeavor, so I can understand the sneakers. But, they still translated as a bit of an odd match with this interpretation of tweed suiting.

Jorja Smith In Jean Paul Gaultier Haute Couture – Mercury Prize 2018

Jorja Smith In Jean Paul Gaultier Haute Couture - Mercury Prize 2018

Jorga Smith joined Lily Allen and Florence Welch at the Hyundai Mercury Prize 2018 on Thursday (September 20) in London.

The singer looked beautiful wearing a Jean Paul Gaultier Spring 2018 Haute Couture geometric designed dress, with skirt of trailing ribbons, which was one of the more eye-catching looks of the night.

Some may feel that the fact that she’s stepping on the skirt with her René Caovilla ‘Cleo Maxi Strass’ sandals proves that the look was perhaps too long, but it was originally worn by a 6 ft glamazon, and who would be mad enough to take scissors to a Haute Couture look?
