Ciara Front Row @ Dolce & Gabbana Alta Moda & Alta Sartoria

It was very much a Haute Couture family affair for the Wilson family who attended the Dolce & Gabbana Alta Moda Women’s Show and the Alta Sartoria Men’s Show this weekend in Sicily, Italy.

Ciara wore a Dolce & Gabbana gold lamé lace gown embellished with metal and embroidered sacred hearts which was crafted to a very familiar silhouette.

If you are an OG around here, you’ll remember a time when this mermaid dress was the dress everyone wanted to wear, and we would see this in either red, black, green satin at least once a month on the red carpet.

I love how Ciara’s daughter matched her in terms of colour and lace, and how well coordinated the family was for this event, even if I wish Russell Wilson had selected his footwear more wisely.

For the men’s show Ciara’s son on the left stole the show.  My eyes immediately fell on him and how smart, and cute he looked in his Dolce & Gabbana Junior jacquard suit.

Russell opted to keep things classic in a Dolce & Gabbana Sicilia-fit black tuxedo.

Ciara always looks amazing at this event, and this second look was no exception as he wore a Dolce & Gabbana custom gown featuring embroidery inspired by a Monreale mosaic.

This referenced the design duo’s own archive, as this piece wouldn’t have looked out of place on the runway during their Fall 2013 collection.

Alta Gioielleria jewelry including a tiara was the perfect way to complement the stunning craftsmanship of her gown elevating the element of fantasy.

The detailing and the styling sold the second look to me.
