2019 Golden Globe Awards Red Carpet Roundup

Fashion Blogger Catherine Kallon features 2019 Golden Globe Awards

As you know we always do a final sweep of the red carpet before we close an event. Here are the gorgeous ladies we just had to feature from the 2019 Golden Globe Awards.

Olivia Colman: Grossly underrated, the British actress collected her Best Actress – Motion Picture – Musical or Comedy for ‘The Favorite’ wearing Stella McCartney. Her split sleeves dress isn’t groundbreaking, but it was perfectly suited to her laidback, no-fuss style, with a touch of embellishment to mark the glamorous occasion. David Morris jewelry completed her look.

Marina de Tavira: The ‘Roma’ star stays firmly on my one-to-watch list with this gorgeous iridescent Vivienne Westwood Couture gown. I’m not sure this one will go down well with the majority thanks to the sheerness of the skirt, but this gets a thumbs up from me. Irene Neuwirth jewels completed her look.

Victoria’s Secret Viewing Party

Fashion Blogger Catherine Kallon feature the Victoria's Secret Viewing Party

The 2018 Victoria’s Secret Show aired in the US on Sunday (December 3), and the Angels gathered in New York City to watch the fruits of their labour play out on the big screen at a viewing party.

Elsa Hosk: The leggy blonde was oozing the kinda sex appeal we expect from a model wearing a stunning Fannie Schiavoni ‘Lola’ ombre mesh dress styled with pretty pink sandals.

Herieth Paul: Shining so bright like a diamond in a Dsquared2 silver suit, the model – who blew me away – styled her look with Jack Vartanian jewels.

Nadine Leopold: There was more magic and sparkle to be had on this red carpet with Nadine looking breath-taking in a pink sequined fringed mini by from Cristahlea’s Spring 2019 collection, which she styled with Stuart Weitzman’s ‘Bareitall’ sandals.

2018 Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show After-Party

2018 Victoria's Secret Fashion Show After-Party

The 2018 Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show took place in New York on Thursday (November 8), with a performance from Rita Ora.

Following the show was the after-party; where a host of models served up the expected sheer, mini and slashed dresses, but there were also a few surprises.

Candice Swanepoel: The model was looking not-so angelic in Khyeli Spring 2019 Couture. As sheer dresses go, I love the beaded detailing.

Liu Wen: The model never goes the sheer route, but she did on this occasion wearing a look from Philosophy di Lorenzo Serafini’s Spring 2019 collection.

Toni Garrn: This golden girl managed to leave something to the imagination in her draped chain metal dress styled with Giuseppe Zanotti sandals.

Sigourney Weaver In Off-White & Marni – Close Encounter Session Rome Film Festival

Sigourney Weaver In Off-White & Marni - Close Encounter Session Rome Film Festival

Sigourney Weaver, known for some of the biggest box-office hits in history from ‘Alien’ and ‘Ghostbusters’ to ‘Avatar’, participated in a Close Encounter session, during Rome Film Festival on Wednesday (October 24) in Italy.

Photocall: I was very excited about this Off-White Fall 2018 layered look. The trousers made it more age-appropriate, but I was bitterly disappointed by her shoes. Those green ribbons kinds killed the vibe.

2018 InStyle Awards

2018 InStyle Awards

Here is roundup of the other ladies who joined Lily Collins, Rosie Huntington-Whiteley and Tracee Ellis Ross at the 2018 InStyle Awards on Monday (October 22) in LA.

Jennifer Aniston: Water is wet. The sky is blue. Jennifer Aniston is wearing a black dress.

Laverne Cox: The actress was channeling her inner Beyonce Knowles wearing a Johanna Ortiz Resort 2017 dress which oozed plenty of latin flare.

Storm Reid: Dressed in Preen by Thornton Bregazzi Resort 2019, this glittering confection was given a playful flourish thanks to her uber sweet afro puffs

Beyonce Knowles Closes Her ‘On The Run II’ Tour In Off-White

Beyonce Knowles Closes Her 'On The Run II' Tour In Off-White

Beyonce Knowles and Jay-Z’s ‘On The Run II’ tour started in Cardiff on June 6, and closed last night, October 4, after 18 shows in Europe and 30 in North America.

Now that is pretty impressive, but not as impressive as Bey’s wardrobe, which relied heavily on bodysuits, but there were also plenty of jaw-dropping moments like her Vivienne Westwood Couture look, Valentino and Roberto Cavalli Couture outfits plus her epic Dundas cape.

To close, Beyonce wore an Off-White Spring 2019 ‘Stabilo Couture’ dress which features the designers signature ‘OFF’ logo, which was quite the masterpiece.

These style of gowns are affectionately known as cupcake gowns, and I’m very happy to indulge my sweet-tooth.

Beyonce Knowles Closes Her 'On The Run II' Tour In Off-White

Between the clouds of tulle, tiers and dual colour, I am in sartorial heaven.

The incredibly decadent gown that span the length of the runway, was the perfect way to bow out with a bang.

I’m sure the Carters are off for a much needed, and well-deserved time out.

‘ANGELS’ By Russell James Book Launch And Exhibit

Cindy Crawford And Candice Swanepoel Host 'ANGELS' By Russell James Book Launch And Exhibit

The ‘ANGELS’ by Russell James book launch and exhibit took place on Thursday (September 6) in New York City, with a host of models in attendance.

Cindy Crawford: As the host, the supermodel shone brightly in Tom Ford’s gold ruched lurex and tulle cocktail dress.

Alessandra Ambrosio: It may not have been her event, but she certaintly stole the host’s thunder in this opulent gold Dundas Spring 2019 dress with a matching cape.

Candice Swanepoel: Joining her co-host Cindy Crawford, the model kept things simple in an Alexandre Vauthier Fall 2018 LBD.  It’s the shoes that look complicated.

Millie Bobby Brown In Off-White – ‘Stranger Things Season 2’ Screening

Millie Bobby Brown In Off-White - 'Stranger Things Season 2' Screening

Millie Bobby Brown attended the ‘Stranger Things Season 2’ screening on Tuesday (August 21) in New York City.

Cut from wool to give it structure, the tailored silhouette slips into ’80s territory; padded shoulders, boxy, slightly oversized profile, exaggerated lapels.

To keep it looking contemporary the actress opted to keep the camouflage shorts we see in the lookbook, even if they’re barely seen.

Tabitha Simmons ‘Lilian’ heels completed her look.

Nicki Minaj In Off-White – 2018 MTV VMAs

Nicki Minaj In Off-White - 2018 MTV VMAs

Nicki Minaj came to the 2018 MTV VMAs on Monday (August 20) in New York City in a bathing suit.

Well, the bootysuit, ahem bodysuit, was topped off with a sheer slip affair that really served no purpose except to possibly act as a tripping hazard.

Not even the excuse of the VMAs raucous, racy dress code can come to the defense of this Off-White Fall 2018 look — and those impossibly long pigtail extensions.

Chadwick Boseman In Off-White – 2018 MTV Movie And TV Awards

Chadwick Boseman attended the 2018 MTV Movie And TV Awards on Saturday (June 16) in Santa Monica, California, as his monster hit ‘Black Panther’ was up for seven awards including Best Movie.

The actor wore an Off-White c/o Virgil Abloh ‘Impressionism’ painted denim jacket and jeans with a black and white Monet inspired shirt from the Resort 2019 collection.

I know what you’re thinking.

Head-to-toe printed denim shouldn’t work, but on Chadwick its somehow magical, fashion forward and absolutely mesmerizing.

Always at the forefront of making menswear interesting, I love how Chadwick has given double denim a new twist.

Allison Williams In Off-White – ‘The Boys In The Band’ 50th Anniversary Celebration

Allison Williams was on hand to join ‘The Boys in the Band’ 50th anniversary celebrations on Wednesday (May 30) in New York City.

I often associate Allison with joyful colours, so I was surprised to see her opt for such moody hues in this Off-White Fall 2018 look.

Despite that, I love how Virgil Abloh brings savior-faire to the classic shirt and pleated skirt combo.

The vibrant floral motif, that pops against the black silk background, was given some added charm when styled with Brian Atwood pumps and a Mark Cross bag.

Damaris Lewis In Off-White – ‘Blackkklansman’ Cannes Film Festival Premiere

Damaris Lewis cut a fashion-forward figure at the Cannes Film Festival premiere of ‘Blackkklansman’ on Monday evening (May 14), joining Charlotte Le Bon, Ava DuVernay and Kristen Stewart.

While her co-star Laura Harrier went for refined simplicity, she opted for on-trend separates with an Off-White Spring 2018 ensemble finished with Off-White x Jimmy Choo Claire pumps.

Tuxedo dressing features at the festival, but it’s doubtful anyone expected it mashed up with cycling shorts and ruched TPU shoes. It was most definitely a surprise and this was the perfect opportunity to showcase her fashion credentials.

Love it or hate it, I’m sure everyone will be eager to see what she will wear next after this head-turning look.
