The Guggenheim International Gala

The Guggenheim International Gala, made possible by Dior, celebrates the Guggenheim’s yearly accomplishments and while raising essential funds.

Jurnee Smollett and her love affair with Haute Couture continued at this event, which saw her wearing a Dior Spring 2018 Haute Couture woven black horsehair cage dress styled with Dior fine jewelry and Dior shoes.

As you know, I’m not a huge fan of white linings, but in this case, considering how the top half nailed the illusion, had that extended to the bottom half, Jurnee may have appeared semi naked.

I adore Kat Graham’s Dior Spring 2019 Haute Couture embroidered black and silver skirt, but the organza blouse with ivory pleated ruffle was super unflattering.

Plus I can’t get past the fact that it looks like she’s wearing a sports bra underneath it.

Maya Hawke selected a Dior Spring 2017 Haute Couture black silk velvet and point d’esprit cowl-neck bustier gown featuring spring garden flowers and herbal-inspired embroidery.

This pretty was very on brand for her, as she loves a fantasy gown moment. 

Unlike the more elaborate looks above, Lorde opted to keep things simple wearing a Dior Fall 2018 Haute Couture copper pleated chiffon bustier dress styled with Dior fine jewelry and Dior shoes.

The elevation of her style continues to impress under the guidance of Karla Welch.

For her performance, Lorde wore a Dior Haute Couture gold lamé look featuring a modern interpretation of the iconic bar jacket.
