Sara Bareilles In Naeem Khan – 2017 Tony Awards

Sara Bareilles glistened as she made her way down the red carpet for the 2017 Tony Awards at Radio City Music Hall on Sunday (June 11) in New York City.

Sheer and sparkly, the singer’s Naeem Khan Fall 2016 gown teetered on the edge of taste. The high neck and long sleeves saved this look from going overboard. The addition of a slim black belt also brought this ensemble back down to earth and pared back the metallic print.

The floor length skirt was beautifully draped and added some romance whilst Sara’s wave hairstyle kept the styling on-trend.

What do you think of this look?

O my, this so badly needed a lining. This is bad.

Her hair belongs up. It looks messy with her (admittedly gorgeous) wavy hair all over the busy design.
Also, while I agree the belt in itself was a good idea, the colour is all wrong. Personally, I think a greenish-gold would’ve been the perfect choice to liven this look up a bit. Together with a simple updo and some golden earrings…

Too much and I don’t like the belt.

And here I was, ready to thank the gods for a sheer-free red carpet…

We almost got lucky, but overall this, other than Sara and a couple of others who were not dressed in sheer but were not great, this Tony Awards show was a pretty well dressed event.

Yes, I agree. Quite a classy affair.

This needed a nude lining and a sleeker hairdo. Also not a fan of the belt. Maybe a more subtle silver instead of the harsh black?
