March 15, 2017 Runway To Red Carpet

Emma Watson In Christian Dior Couture – NY Film Society For Kids

Prior to the New York City premiere of ‘Beauty and the Beast,’ Emma Watson was at the NY Film Society for Kids on Monday (March 13), where she was seen to be reading an excerpt from the beloved story.

In a Christian Dior Spring 2017 couture confection, the actress floated out the most classically reminiscent look of Disney’s Belle that we’ve seen so far.

Her yellow ball gown would have certainly had the children in the audience marveling at the ‘Belle’ standing before them.

Yet I love that this Dior dress brought with it a thoroughly modern take with its sleek, ephemeral silhouette and subtle pastel hue.

Its nice. The yellow looks good with her tone, pretty style n fine styling. Nothing to get excited about but she does look pretty, and its perfect for the event Im sure.

I am not a fan big fan of Emma Watson style but I do appreciate that she attempted to wear something that says “duh Belle but” with a modern twist to something for children. But overall the look is meh.

I guess if you have a Beauty and the Beast promo tour, you have to wear a yellow gown at some point.^^ I like it for the event, it’s lovely. Although at the same time I’m also like, the children seeing her in a Belle gown is nice, but maybe this would have deserved an actual red carpet moment at a bigger event..? I liked her looks at the premieres a bit more than this, so I’m not really suggesting she should have worn this instead of one of those looks, but at the same time, it is a lovely gown for a bigger carpet.^^

The colour does nothing for her but I find her plain and tedious so I might be biased

Perfect time to bring out the yellow. Just imaging the children seeing her in this Belle color gave me goosebumps.

The yellow gown moment was expected, and it’s a lovely one. It’s not spectacularly memorable, but it’s light, beautiful, and nothing over-the-top.

The blush version is prettier but yellow is perfect since she is well, duh, Belle. I wish she’d worn this for any of her premieres. Was dissapointed in her promo tour.
