Alexa Chung In Valentino – BVLGARI & ROME: Eternal Inspiration Opening Night

Alexa Chung In Valentino - BVLGARI & ROME Eternal Inspiration Opening Night

Alexa Chung attended the BVLGARI & ROME: Eternal Inspiration Opening Night on Wednesday (October 14) in New York City.

The British star wore a captivating Valentino Pre-Fall 2015 tulle gown featuring floral and creature embroidery which she of course styled with BVLGARI jewels.

Even with the additional lining, I love how the gown still has a flirtatious weightlessness, a point Alexa was only too keen to showcase when she twirled on the red carpet.

This is a rare princess moment from Alexa, did she do the gown justice?

I’m surprised by how much everyone loves this look. That particular shade of green looks just awful against her skin tone to me, and the dress, while I’m sure is a piece of art in terms of making, is… ugly (the patchwork with flowers and butterflies and grass and a sun -??).
I understand the flowy and romantic vibe it gives and that it makes you feel like you want to try it just to twirl -but this look jst isn’t good -the hair and makeup styling are completely off too.

I’m usually not a fan of Alexa’s style, but this is a gorgeous look! I love everything about this look. It’s princessy and romantic without being predictable or dull, I love the jewelry and the hair and the colours really accentuate her green eyes. Well done.

Never been a fan of Alexa’s style but I’m blown away by how gorgeous she looks in this Valentino. I could’ve done without the hair accessory, but that is a minor nit that doesn’t need picking.

She looks lovely but i dont feel connected

this is not her style, sorry

She looks beautiful – I love the hair and makeup and stunning jewels. But- and this is no criticism of Alexa- I have to say I’m really over Valentino at the moment. Every gown is merging into one… Long, monastic cuts and embroidered tulle over layers. The embroidery work is exquisite of course, but I don’t care for the palette Valentino are using. I think they need to move on aesthetically.

This enchanted princess with a dash of bohemia is a gorgeous look and I love the up do with it and considering the event the hair brooch is fine.

Came back to take a second look. She’s poaching on Kiera Knightley’s territory here and doing a fine job. I think this really suits her. Not thrilled with the hair but it will do. The details of the gown close -up are really quite something. BDOTW-worthy.

I do not like it at all. Looks way too big and sort of overwhelms her. Also the color kind of falls flat on her.

+2 I am still unaware who made her a style “icon.” She never looks good to me.

I rarely like anything she wears, but this is beautiful.

    It looked flawless in motion.

I don’t know, she does pull this off, but I still don’t like this look.

The hair accessory is too much. Other than that, this is just okay to me. Don’t love the color and she looks like she is being over taken by creeping vines.

    Beyond Stunning!

She looks nice from the neck down, the gown is beautiful. But she way over accessorized with the drop earrings AND the pin in her hair. I also don’t get the flat hair.

She pulls this off. She looks pretty.

  21. Anne October 15, 2015 at 1:16 pm #

She looks so lovely in this ethereal gown. I could have done without the hair broach and/or the earrings.

  22. Chris October 15, 2015 at 12:41 pm #

This is pretty nice, she definitely does it justice.
