Zhang Ziyi 章子怡 In Valentino – 14th Chinese Media Awards

Zhang Ziyi In Valentino - 14th Chinese Media Awards

Zhang Ziyi attended the 14th Chinese Media Awards on Saturday (October 11) in Beijing, China.

Looking as stunning as ever, the actress blew me away wearing a Valentino Fall 2014 gown which has been lined from the runway.

Grey is not normally a colour I favour; however, I am totally swept away by the romance of this embellished gown enriched with shimmering floral-embroidered details.

Does the lining ruin this look for you? Is Zhang tall enough to pull off this look?

Stunning! I’m putting it on my BDOTY list.

The color is great, but the tulle overlay is stunning.

I don’t like the color or the fit. Plus it is too long. Not at all my cup of tea.

More height, less lining for me. She looks okay though.

I find this quite lovely. Romantic and flowy, and the grey even looks perfect. Needed lining so overall I love it!

I think this is a BDOTW contender. Utterly charmed by it.

Okay, I do love this and she looks beautiful. It’s a fairytale of a gown. But if I were to nit-pick, the opaque lining takes away a great deal of the ethereal beauty of the runway look. Perhaps a nude lining, or a slightly less solid lining, would have been more effective? Also, the fit – I find the bodice too fitted and the waist too loose. I prefer the blousey, fluttery fit on the runway.

+1 (said so much better than me!)

I agree. The dress is beautiful but the lining ruins the look. A nude lining would have worked much better.

I love it but I wish it was a bit more fitted around the hips and waist…

J’adore. This flawless look is BDOTW-worthy.

      + 1

Delicate, ethereal, romantic, she wears it beautifully and projects just the right mood, it had to be lined, I have no complaints.

While still a lovely gown, and she’s beautiful in it, the liniing makes it feel heavier.

She looks great, this dress was made for women of her type. She has just the right body for it and it would’ve looked awful on a blond (seen on the runway-model who looks washed out). I also love her choice of lip color and the simple hair style.
And I like how it seems more fitted than on the runway.

I don’t mind the lining at all. Im glad she did it. she looks lovely

Stunning look. Not a fan of grey, but this is a winner

I think she looks so pretty.

This looks so much better on Zhang. She fills out the dress unlike the model. I think this is BDOTW worthy.
