TIFF 2026 Fashion: Anna Kendrick, Naomi Watts, Chase Infiniti & More
The Toronto International Film Festival continued this weekend, so here is a roundup of notable looks.
Babies Premiere
This might be an unpopular opinion, but I’m completely charmed by the storybook quality of Anna Kendrick’s Mary Katrantzou Resort 2027 dress. From the illustrated bodice to the moiré skirt, it’s an unexpected combination, and that’s partly why I like it.
The Housewife Premiere
The silver floral embellishments are doing the heavy lifting on Naomi Watts’ Celine dress, as the silhouette isn’t my favourite. Isabel Delgado jewels completed her look.
Closing Night Premiere
Naomi Watts joined Sarah Paulson for the Closing Night premiere, and I was much more enamoured by this Willy Chavarria Spring 2027 look.
This feels more in tune with Naomi’s style. The stark black top cuts through the sweetness of the peach floral skirt, and it’s that unexpected contrast that makes the look for me. The oversized bow does dominate, however.
Hearts On Fire jewellery completed her look.
The Julia Set Premiere
You can always rely on Chase Infiniti to bring colour and fun energy to the red carpet, which she did in this Louis Vuitton Resort 2027 yellow-green mini dress. The colour is fantastic on her, and the texture gives this simple silhouette all the personality it needs. A less blocky sandal would have perfected this.
In Conversation: Obsession
I’m really struggling to find any appeal in Inde Navarrette’s champagne hued embroidered Dior Resort 2027 design. The colour is pretty, but I don’t find it flattering on Inde. Tiffany & Co. jewellery completed her look.
Slow Horses Premiere
Olivia Cooke wore a Thom Browne look that has a lot of familiarity about it, yet I’m still totally enamoured by it all, especially the corset-over-shirt combination, which Olivia sells to me. While the skirt is too long, the rest of the undone energy of this look totally works.
Below Premiere
Mackenzie Davis is as she appears: simple, understated and unfussy. It’s not for me, but she does look better in this black velvet Alaïa Fall 2026 bodycon dress than she did in the blue Celine dress during the Venice Film Festival.
This is incredibly simple, perhaps too simple for some. Alaïa sheer pumps completed her look.
