PORTER’s Incredible Women Gala 2018

PORTER's Incredible Women Gala 2018

There were a host of stars who joined Gabrielle Union and Alice Eve to celebrate PORTER’s 3rd annual Incredible Women Gala on Tuesday (October 9) in Los Angeles, California.

Charlize Theron: I really wanted to get excited about this Giambattista Valli Fall 2018 dress, but the top half is throwing me off.  I do love the girlie essence the tiered skirt brings to the look, but that’s about it.

Alison Brie: I know the Brock Collection isn’t loved by all, but I adore the label’s feminine approach and the raw-edges of their asymmetrical ruffles. My only comment on this particular look, is that the bodice seems a tad tight.

Tiffany Haddish: The Emmy-winning actress caught my eye in this Georges Chakra metallic embossed paisley suit. I don’t always get her style choices, but this is easily my favourite look from her this year. Perhaps tailoring is the way to go. Brian Atwood gold ‘Valerie’ pumps, Anabela Chan sustainable lab-grown diamond ring and Gismondi 1754 earrings completed her look.

‘A Simple Favor’ Paris Premiere

'A Simple Favor' Paris Premiere

The Paris premiere for ‘A Simple Favor’ took place on Tuesday (September 20) with Blake Lively and Anna Kendrick in attendance.

Blake Lively: Following her Ralph Lauren look, I joked on Instagram that Blake was wearing her 1,356 suit of this promo tour to which – much to my surprise – she responded “Would you note a man wearing lots of suits during a promo tour? So why can’t a woman? Just sayinnnn. No double standards ladies.” This came a quite a shock considering I have loved pretty much every look during this promo tour, and that I have said repeatedly that I have admired her commitment to rocking suits throughout. I’m not sure of the actual number, but yet another suit was worn in the city of lights. After the summery pink in London, the mood turned to Fall in this teal and black embroidered look. What do I love about this look? The sleekness, the sexiness, the cut and the fit. But the dual-colour loose tie didn’t work for me. Maria Tash jewels and strappy Louboutins completed her look.

Anna Kendrick: I have always been a great admirer of Antonio Berardi, but this Fall 2018 design didn’t quite work for me on Anna. Had she modified the look – removing the train – I have a strong belief this would’ve worked. As it is, the look feels so overwhelming.

Anna Kendrick In Markarian – Late Night with Seth Meyers

Anna Kendrick In Markarian - Late Night with Seth Meyers

Anna Kendrick’s run of short and sassy dresses came to a halt for her appearance on Late Night with Seth Meyers on Tuesday (September 11), where she continued to promote her new film, ‘A Simple Favor.’

The actress was glowing in a silver lame Markarian Resort 2019 bias corseted dress.

I love the return to sensual sophistication from Anna. This look has so many romantic elements which I have missed from her recent red carpet looks.

Styling the dress with gold Giuseppe Zanotti sandals, she was able to complement the shimmering undertones.

Anna Kendrick In Cushine – ‘A Simple Favor’ New York Premiere

Anna Kendrick In Cushine - 'A Simple Favor' New York Premiere

Anna Kendrick attended the premiere of ‘A Simple Favor’ on Monday (September 10) in New York City.

At present, Anna Kendrick is obsessed with mini dresses.

Sitting alluringly off-the-shoulder, her Cushine Resort 2019 dress trimmed with fractured floral embroidery and fringing for a chic mix of texture and movement, made quite a statement.

But there was an even biggest statement being made in the footwear department.

Some might feel the shoes are competing with the dress, but I love how the vibrant energy follows from head-to-toe.

Anna Kendrick In Ralph & Russo Couture – 2018 MTV VMAs

Anna Kendrick In Ralph & Russo Couture - 2018 MTV VMAs

Anna Kendrick attended the 2018 MTV VMAs on Monday (August 20) in New York City.

Coming off her successful-slinky look last week at the Teen Choice Awards, I had high hopes for her outfit tonight.

While still sassy, this Ralph & Russo Couture feathered frock was nice enough, paired with coordinating Roger Vivier sandals.

But, it didn’t have quite the same sultry-fun effect — especially on a night where she could have pushed the envelope further.

Would you agree?
