Celebrities at the 2026 ELLE Style Awards
ELLE UK hosted its annual ELLE Style Awards this week, celebrating the creative voices shaping the cultural landscape. Hosted by Ncuti Gatwa at The MAINE in London, the evening saw Rosamund Pike, Ruth Wilson, Simone Ashley, Jorja Smith and Dina Asher-Smith among the stars joining this year’s award winners.
Embellished Elegance
Rosamund Pike presented Erdem Moralıoğlu with the British Brand of the Year award, so naturally she wore Erdem for the occasion. Her Fall 2026 patchwork gown is incredibly detailed, and while I’m not usually a fan of PVC heels, I do like how her Christian Louboutin Degraqueen sandals echo the embellishments and tulle overlay of the dress.
Did it need more sparkle? Probably not, but the Repossi rings completed the look beautifully.
Romantic Rebel
Ruth Wilson also supported Erdem, wearing a Resort 2027 pink floral dress. Ruth is our resident non-conformist and risk-taker, and while the deliberately undone elements and pink hue give the look a romantic feel, the feathered shoes and Erdem Bloom bag inject the offbeat personality I expect to see from her.
Chocolate Season
British Sound of the Year winner Jorja Smith wore Nina Ricci. You know I will always lean towards brown, and this rich chocolate leather looks beautiful on her, but I’m not sold on the green eye makeup.
Bringing The Drama
Simone Ashley, who received The Performer award, wore 16Arlington. The black gown was sleek, streamlined silhouette, with the shearling-trimmed detailing ensuring this was a black dress to remember.
Spots and a Beret
Ncuti Gatwa was never going to settle for standard black-tie, especially as host of the evening. His Paul Smith suit provided the classic foundation, but the polka-dot shirt and beret brought the flair. Jimmy Choo Wilder loafers completed his look.
Cut-Out Conversation
Dina Asher-Smith wore Torishéju, and this is one of those looks that becomes more interesting the longer you look at it. The sculpted top and asymmetric cut-outs give the black dress its character, while the proportions keep your eye moving around the look.
Peplum Proportions
Tolu Coker, who dressed Catherine, Princess of Wales earlier this year, received the Breakthrough Designer award wearing her own Tolu Coker design. I love the proportions here. The strapless bodice and exaggerated peplum transform what could have been a standard grey tailored look, and the trousers are the perfect length – as you would expect from a designer.
Designer’s Choice
Louise Trotter received the Designer of the Year award wearing a look from her Bottega Veneta Spring 2026 collection.
