Xolo Maridueña Continues His Floral Streak in Mithridate
Xolo Maridueña continued the floral theme he introduced with his two London looks for the Practical Magic 2 LA premiere.
On this occasion, he wore a Mithridate Fall 2026 look, taking the floral-print Lavallière shirt, blue feathered cuffs and black wide-leg trousers from the runway, while adding a black cummerbund.
As you know, I am a big fan of what a cummerbund can do to elevate menswear, and here it gives the romantic floral print and feathered cuffs a more formal finish. Even those carefully placed curls on his forehead seem perfectly in tune with the mood of the look.
Some might feel that the cummerbund is too wide, too loose or sits too low, but I think its proportions make sense alongside the volume of the trousers. A narrower version could easily have looked insignificant against such a wide-leg silhouette.
I also like that Xolo continues to approach this press tour with a clear fashion point of view. Three floral looks could have started to feel repetitive, yet each has offered something different, and this might be his most romantic interpretation yet.
You may remember that Charles Melton wore this Mithridate look back in April, but with completely different styling. On Xolo, the addition of the cummerbund changes the character of the look, making it feel better suited to a premiere.
