Maisie Williams Gets Eerie in Margiela for ‘Practical Magic 2’
Maisie Williams attended the LA premiere of Practical Magic 2, held at Directors Village on Monday alongside her co-stars.
When it comes to thematic dressing, I think the issue some of you have is when the idea becomes repetitive. Maisie has avoided that completely.
In London, she was channelling both Sandra Bullock’s red carpet archive and her on-screen wardrobe, but she has already moved on from that chapter. For LA, she tapped into the more eerie side of the film wearing a Maison Margiela Fall 2026 leather top and skirt.
The construction alone gives you plenty to look at. The pieces appear to have been assembled from deconstructed biker jackets, with seams, eyelets, straps and panels creating the structure. Then there is the avian skeletal print, with bird skulls and elongated beaks stretching across the leather, interspersed with vivid blue bands that break up the darker palette.
The runway styling pushed the idea much further with a full face covering and floral boots, but Maisie didn’t need either. Even if this look had nothing to do with a witchy film, I would still think it was a great look for her. It suits the more experimental side of her style while feeling completely at home on this particular red carpet.
For me, Maisie has been the most on-point throughout this press tour. She has referenced the film without repeating the same idea from one appearance to the next, and each look has given us something different to discuss.
It also appears that curled tendrils on the forehead were trending on this red carpet, with both Maisie and Xolo Maridueña getting the memo.
