Xolo Maridueña’s ‘Practical Magic 2’ Style Has a Floral Theme
Xolo Maridueña joined his co-stars Sandra Bullock, Nicole Kidman, Maisie Williams and Joey King for the London press tour for Practical Magic 2, which came with a theme.

London Premiere
The actor wore Viviano, and this was easily one of the most interesting menswear looks on the red carpet.
I love the proportions here, especially the contrast between the cropped blazer, decorated with white floral embroidery, and the longer hemline of the tuxedo shorts, while those ruffled cuffs peeking from the sleeves add to the romantic feel of the look.
The vintage floral brooch at the collar was another great touch, with Faris earrings, Falke socks and Saint Laurent shoes completing his look.

London Photocall
The following day, Xolo continued the theme for the photocall, this time wearing brown tailoring covered in crystal floral embellishments.
I haven’t been able to confirm the designer, but this is giving me strong Simone Rocha vibes. Between the cropped jacket, oversized crystal flowers and trailing jewelled stems, it screams Rocha.
And I love the colour combination. Chocolate brown with a mint-green satin shirt feels fresh, but the trousers are where he loses me. I can live with a few breaks, but when there is so much fabric pooling at your feet that you are stepping on the hem, that’s where I check out. It’s a shame, considering how good everything is from the ankles up. I just wish the hem had been cleaner.
What is the link with the flowers?
Xolo appears to be embracing his own take on Practical Magic 2 method dressing. Flowers, herbs and botanicals are intrinsically linked to the world of the film, from the Owens family’s relationship with plants and herbal remedies to its romantic, witchy visual language.
So two floral looks in two days is not a coincidence. Xolo has found a way to reference the world of the film through menswear without going down the gothic, witchy route. It’s a clever twist, much like Maisie and her Sandra Bullock tributes.
Stylist: Anastasia Walker.
