Kaia Gerber Wore Gucci To The Official Launch Skate Party For ‘The Shards’

Kaia Gerber attended FX’s The Shards Official Launch Skate Party held at Moonlight Rollerway in Los Angeles on Wednesday.

Whether the roller rink was simply a fun venue or a nod to the series itself, it certainly presented an opportunity to lean into the occasion.

Instead, the actress-model opted for a Generation Gucci bralette and matching maxi skirt.

Does she look good? Yes. Am I also experiencing a serious case of groundhog day? Also yes.

We’ve seen Kaia return to this formula so many times that, while she always looks good, her looks are increasingly starting to blur together. For an event like this, I would have loved to see her stylist inject a little more personality into her look. I’m not suggesting a head-to-toe ’80s roller-disco costume, but something with a bit more energy and playfulness wouldn’t have gone amiss.

The venue practically invited a fashion moment, yet this is just another variation on the sleek, minimal aesthetic Kaia always gravitates towards. She looks great, but I can’t help wishing she’d surprise us now and again.
