Lupita Nyong’o Wore Silvia Tcherassi En Route To Jimmy Fallon

The final premiere for The Odyssey may have concluded on Tuesday, but this press tour still has a few more stops to deliver, giving us another look from Lupita Nyong’o.

The actress was spotted making her way to NBC Studios for her guest appearance on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon.

One thing I missed when Lupita became a Chanel ambassador was her love of bold prints, so I was delighted to see them return in this Silvia Tcherassi Gypsy dress.

I’m mesmerised by how the vibrant chartreuse, olive and ivory palette comes alive against Lupita’s skin. Silvia Tcherassi has always had a talent for expressive prints, and this one feels perfectly suited to Lupita’s fearless approach to fashion.

I also appreciated that the styling didn’t shy away from adding another pattern. The Giuseppe Zanotti snakeskin Lilibeth slingback heels could easily have competed with the dress, but instead they added another layer of visual interest.

The accessories were equally well considered. Her Mulberry Small Amberley top-handle bag offered a clean contrast to the busy print, while the ’60s inspired Cutler and Gross 1422 Square sunglasses and gold Marco Bicego earrings completed the look with just the right amount of retro glamour.

It’s always refreshing to see Lupita reconnect with the bold prints and vibrant colour combinations that have long been such a defining part of her style. Hopefully, this is the start of their comeback in Lupita’s wardrobe.
