Sam Heughan Wore Siobhan Mackenzie To The ‘Outlander’ Season 8 New York Premiere
Sam Heughan joined his co-star Caitríona Balfe for the Outlander Season 8 New York premiere on Monday, and my first reaction was, this how you bow out in style.

The Scottish actor is notorious for favouring understated tailoring and tonal looks on the red carpet. But to mark the conclusion of the final season, he stepped out fully embracing the moment, celebrating both the series and his heritage in this custom look by Siobhan Mackenzie.
The designer described it on Instagram as a black Stewart contrast kilt ensemble grounded in heritage and shaped by contemporary craftsmanship. Bias cut tartan runs through the kilt and waistcoat, while subtle tartan touches appear across the jacket. Matte black buttons and kilt buckles bring a clean, refined finish.
The styling deserves its own moment too. The traditional leather sporran worn at the front of the kilt anchors the look, while the lace up boots paired with knee high socks keep the ensemble rooted in Highland dress without feeling costume like.
The look feels entirely fitting for a show that placed Scotland firmly on the global stage.
You may remember that Jamie Roy wore a custom Siobhan Mackenzie look for the Los Angeles premiere of Outlander: Blood of My Blood back in July last year, and what I appreciate is how the designer consistently marries Scottish heritage with a contemporary point of view.
