2026 WWD Honors: Red Carpet Fashion
The 2026 WWD Honors took place at Cipriani South Street in New York City, celebrating some of fashion’s biggest names, including LVMH’s Bernard Arnault, Tom Ford’s Haider Ackermann and Celine’s Michael Rider. Designers, celebrities and fashion insiders gathered for an evening celebrating the industry’s leading figures.

So Close to Perfection
As you may have noticed, I have been having a bit of a moment with Louisa Jacobson and her love of tailoring. However, that came to a screeching halt when I saw the length of the trousers on her Tom Ford Spring 2027 suit. She was among Haider Ackermann’s angels at this event, but those trousers let down what could have been her best look of the week. I love everything else, especially the black floral embellishment.

The Signature Detail
Rebecca Hall, also wearing Tom Ford, opted for a Fall 2026 two-piece look featuring the signature leather belt, which gives the trousers a cut-out effect.

I love how this small detail gives an otherwise classic all-black ensemble an edge. A single KATKIM earring and black clutch completed her look.

Twice as Nice
You should instantly recognise Aaron Taylor-Johnson’s Tom Ford look, because we have already seen this delicious combination of contrasting animal-print collar and dual stripes on Patrick Schwarzenegger. It looks just as good with or without the jacket, and Aaron makes a convincing case for the latter.

Statement Earrings Really Are Back
Michelle Monaghan’s Altuzarra Spring 2027 dress was just as intriguing as her earrings. The dress has an almost deconstructed appearance, as though the black fabric has been torn away to reveal a floral underlayer. I also love that she kept the statement earrings from the runway. Now I’m realising this isn’t necessarily a Sarah Paulson trend, but more of a Karla Welch trend, considering they share the same stylist. Either way, I’m loving the return of statement earrings.

Still Experimenting
As much as I love this Celine Fall 2026 2D mini dress, I’m not convinced it’s the right dress for Hannah Einbinder. She has been experimenting with different styles recently, and that continues here. Like Michelle Monaghan, another Karla Welch client, she embraced statement jewellery with oversized pearl earrings. The dress itself is fabulous, but I’m not entirely sold on it for Hannah.

A Quieter Moment
Tracee Ellis Ross wore a Celine Fall 2026 look that feels rather muted by her standards, as we are so accustomed to seeing her embrace colour and adventurous silhouettes. However, considering she was presenting an award, perhaps this was the right occasion for something a little more understated.

Goodbye, Elle Woods
I almost didn’t recognise Lexi Minetree in this red archival Givenchy gown, having become so accustomed to seeing her wear pink throughout her press tour for Elle. This is refreshing in both style and colour, and I’m glad that particular fashion chapter appears to have been reserved for the press tour. Fred Leighton and Kwiat jewellery completed her look.

One Accessory Too Many
I think Peyton Elizabeth Lee’s Thom Browne Hopsack suiting mini dress and sport coat would have worked better without the Thom Browne Hector bag. The Fall 2026 shoes already complement the coordinated look, while the dog-shaped bag feels a little too novelty-driven for this outfit. I would have preferred a more classic bag here.

Another Archive Moment
Lucy Freyer wore a vintage Roberto Cavalli Fall 2005 dress, and as a lover of printed slip dresses, I think this was a great archival pull.

The Tucked-In Tie
François Arnaud suited up in Saint Laurent by Anthony Vaccarello, with the tucked-in tie and striped shirt giving the look its distinction. The proportions are excellent, and this is another example of why Saint Laurent continues to be such a reliable choice for menswear.

Keeping It Simple
Pritika Swarup kept things simple in a black Azeeza gown, which could have benefited from some more notable accessories.

Another Award for Ackermann
The accolades keep coming for Haider Ackermann, who received the Womenswear Designer of the Year award for Tom Ford, presented by Susie Cave. This marks his second award in as many weeks, following his recognition at the Esquire event. Considering the impact he has already made at Tom Ford, it’s hardly surprising to see him being celebrated once again.
