David Corenswet joined his co-stars for the Superman premiere in LA, wrapping up the press tour with a look that might just be his most considered yet.

You weren’t sold on the dunhill red bow tie moment from last week, which sat firmly in the “a bit too on the nose” camp for some. So what if I told you that his latest look was even more literal?

Wearing a navy pinstripe three-piece suit from Ralph Lauren Purple Label, David gave us what initially felt like Gordon Gekko realness—but dig a little deeper, and the choice suddenly feels inspired. Clark Kent wore pinstripes in his very first Action Comics #1 appearance back in 1938, making this a full-circle homage.

The Rolex Perpetual 1908 watch was a nice finishing touch, but what really stood out was how Clark Kent this all felt—down to the quiet confidence and, those startlingly blue eyes I somehow hadn’t noticed until now.

A fitting look to close out the tour—and a subtle reminder that this Superman knows his roots.
