Celebrities at the 2025 BET Awards
The 2025 BET Awards red carpet gave us a little bit of everything: drama, glamour, nostalgia, and more than a few surprises. Whether it was throwback moments, sheer gowns, or unexpected accessories, everyone showed up with something to say. Here’s a roundup of the bold, the beautiful, and the head-scratching looks that had us talking.

Serving knots
Mya was all tied up in a twisted Michael Costello burgundy gown with a high neckline and matching gloves. The gold jewels amped up the opulence, but I wish the same could be said for the grey bag, which felt completely off-script.

Drapery with a side of indecision
GloRilla gave us a Valdrin Sahiti moment I didn’t see coming. The draped skirt blew me away, but I’m still processing the lace-up bodice. On the fence, but intrigued.

New Look, Who’s This?
When it comes to Yung Miami, I had to do a double take. The transformation was real—new style aesthetic, new glam, new makeup, new energy. And yet, she stayed true to her brand with a sultry purple Rabanne dress featuring the label’s signature chainmail detailing. It’s always exciting to see someone experiment without losing their fashion identity, and this was a bold switch-up that paid off.

Comfort is queen… but is it cute?
Da Brat kept things true to form in an acid wash hoodie and sweatpants, which felt very on-brand but didn’t quite bring the red carpet excitement.

timeless glamour
Jennifer Hudson was breathtaking in a black Gaurav Gupta gown with Jared Atelier natural diamonds. It’s a little heavy for summer, but she looks so so good.

Floating on feathers and summer vibes
Jordin Sparks brought the summer vibes in a peach LaPointe dress with feather sleeves, paired with a colourful Wolf and Badger bag and jewels from Sterling Forever and Simitri.

Chic, chocolatey perfection
Tia Mowry in MISHA was a total win. The colour, the twisted details, the Alexis Bittar gold jewellery… I could’ve just said everything and called it a day.

Black, embellished, and been there
Ashanti stepped onto the red carpet in a black embellished Alexandre Vauthier v-neck gown that is very been-there-done-that.

Sheerly attention-grabbing
Kandi Burruss wore a see-through Michael Costello number that left just enough to the imagination—depending on your imagination.

Wait… Riley Burruss is grown?!
I was so shook by how grown-up Riley Burruss looked that I barely processed the rest of the step-and-repeat. I haven’t tuned in since NeNe Leakes left RHOA, so this grownup glow-up hit me hard.
