Celebrities at the 2025 BAFTA Television Awards
The Royal Festival Hall in London was buzzing with glamour, heat (literally—it was unseasonably warm), and a head-turning looks as the brightest stars in British television gathered for the 2025 BAFTA TV Awards. From Bridgerton’s Nicola Coughlan to Industry’s Marisa Abela, it was an evening where style took centre stage.

Leather, but make it literary heroine
After the comments about Nicole Kidman’s ultra-angular pose at the CMAs, Erin Doherty might just be the next red carpet poser-in-chief. In custom Louis Vuitton, the Adolescence star wore a black portrait-collar leather dress with exaggerated sleeves and a determined stare into the middle distance. Was it dramatic? Yes. Was it hot outside? Also yes. But honestly, with Coco Rocha and Zendaya setting the bar for red carpet posing, I don’t mind a little editorial flair. The look itself? Sculptural and moody, fitting for a show that’s all about emotional intensity.

Gothic fairy in a khaki dream
After a strong winter showing of McQueen tailoring, we’ve entered a season of McQueen chiffon it would seem. Katherine Devlin followed in the steps of Natasha Lyonne and Courtney Eaton wearing a Spring 2025 khaki dress that delivered an ethereal edge. The signature “banshee hair” embroidery added a haunting softness, showing that black (or deep khaki) doesn’t have to scream gothic to carry that dark romance. This was haunting in the best possible way.

Velvet? For Spring?
Jessica Gunning, who won Best Supporting Actress for Baby Reindeer, wore a custom velvet Loewe gown adorned with gold feathered draping, inspired by the Spring 2025 collection. While the concept is striking, the heavy fabric isn’t working for me.

molten bronze
Adelayo Adedayo delivered a striking, statuesque moment in a rich metallic brown gown by Vicnate—Sabrina Elba’s go-to label. The high collar added an elegant, sculptural edge, and the shimmering fabric caught the light beautifully, but the skirt slightly disrupted the dress’ fluidity. Luminous TASAKI jewels and Christian Louboutin sandals completed the look.

Pop princess goes punk duchess
For those of us who grew up with Billie Piper, her Vivienne Westwood moment was like a sartorial love letter to her late ‘90s pop era. The dramatic train, pleated mini skirt and lace-up Westwood platforms? A fashion time warp in the best sense. Styled with Bulgari jewellery, the look felt equal parts nostalgia and rebellion—true to Billie’s spirit and the house of Westwood. Honestly, I adored this.

Is it the heels or a growth spurt?
Baby Reindeer star Nava Mau looked statuesque in a strapless floral gown by Phillipa Lepley. The silhouette was classic, romantic and flattering. And I am the only one who thinks she looks a good few inches taller than usual?

Almost fabulous in fire-engine red
Nafessa Williams, starring in Rivals, wore a bold red strapless gown that had knockout potential written all over it. But somewhere between the vision and the execution, it fell a little flat. The colour was gorgeous on her, no doubt—but the overall fit and finish left something to be desired.

Logo love
The Gucci monogram suit can be divisive, but Emma Willis made a strong case for it at this event. Tailored to perfection, paired with a skinny tie and slicked-back hair, this look was clean, sharp, and stood out in a sea of gowns. Definitely one of the best-dressed of the night for me.

Finding Her Fashion Groove
If you were to ask me to name a Jessie J red carpet moment, I’d probably come up blank—but not anymore. This Saint Laurent Spring 2025 look is officially the moment. From the rich berry hue to the oversized silhouette and confident styling, she didn’t just wear it—she owned it. There was an ease to it, a nonchalance that felt entirely authentic. Jessie might just have found her fashion niche, and I’m fully on board.

Between the heat, the leather, the nostalgia, and the unexpected moments of glamour, this year’s BAFTA TV Awards red carpet had a little bit of everything. Who stands out for you?
