Celebrities at the 2025 SAG Awards
The 2025 SAG Awards red carpet was a delightful mix of color, glamour, and a few divisive moments that made fashion lovers pause for thought. From soft pastels to shimmering sequins, let’s break down some of the night’s standout looks.

Ushering in spring with a sunshine-bright look
There’s something about a tonal moment that just feels right, and Abby Elliott nailed it in her yellow Alice + Olivia strapless gown. With matching Jimmy Choo Skye mules and a Tyler Ellis clutch, this look was practically manifesting warmer days ahead. It’s bright, it’s fresh, and it’s the kind of effortless monochromatic styling I can always get behind.

When your accessories weigh down Your dress
Adjoa Andoh’s mint green off-the-shoulder Stella McCartney dress had so much potential to be a light and airy dream. However, the black clutch and shoes felt too heavy against the softness of the gown. A more delicate approach to accessorizing could have elevated this to perfection.

Did This Risk Pay Off?
You’ll either love Ali Ahn’s Ashi Studio mellow yellow look as it is or wish the sculptural bodice didn’t have the fur-like accents on the shoulders. Personally, I appreciate that she didn’t shy away from such a daring design—she wears it with confidence, and that’s half the battle won. Pamela Zamore jewelry rounded out her ensemble.

Celine’s red carpet signature returns
Celine’s signature embellished dresses are making a comeback, and Florence Hunt looked ethereal in this embroidered bustier dress. It’s delicate yet impactful—a perfect balance for a young actress making her mark.

classic elegance
A black-and-white floral strapless Carolina Herrera Fall 2025 gown is a fun, yet timeless choice, and Gillian Anderson looked effortlessly chic in hers.
Styled by Martha Ward.

Sheer, yet romantic
Jackie Tohn opted for a light celeste blue Georges Hobeika tulle gown with scalloped beaded motif detailing from the Spring 2024 collection. It’s soft, romantic, and exactly the kind of dreamy dress that always finds its place on the red carpet.
Styled by Laura Farris Schuffman.

Dialing Up The Glamour
Jessica Williams’ red carpet style hasn’t always resonated with me—it often felt a little too youthful for her—but this gold sequin Rodarte gown is a game-changer. It’s glamorous, grown-up, and perfectly polished. A Tyler Ellis clutch completed her look.
Styled by Sarah Slutsky Tooley.

Modern Glamour for a red carpet veteran
Jodie Foster’s custom Gucci gown in a delicious chocolate fondant brown hue might seem like a subtle choice, but the embroidered beaded fringe detailing made sure it packed a punch. The Gucci gold metal bamboo cuff bracelets gave the look a sharp, contemporary feel.

quiet sophistication
Some red carpet moments are about making a statement, and others are about letting understated elegance do all the talking. Justine Lupe’s Carolina Herrera Spring 2025 lapis blue silk taffeta trumpet gown falls into the latter category. Simple, sleek, and effortlessly refined.

The perfect pink dress doesn’t ex…
Pale pink can be tricky, but Kaitlyn Dever’s Elie Saab Pre-Fall 2025 strapless sequin embroidered dress struck the perfect balance—it didn’t wash her out and instead complemented her beautifully. The addition of a chiffon scarf and matching Santoni sandals made for a cohesive, ultra-feminine finish.

A standout shoulder flourish
Keri Russell was elegance personified in this Zuhair Murad Fall 2024 black gown that might have gone under the radar had it not been for the floral shoulder accent. It’s the kind of detail that takes a simple silhouette and elevates it to something unforgettable. A Tyler Ellis clutch, Aquazzura pumps and Bucherer Fine Jewellery completed her look.
Styled by Frank Fleming.

A redemption arc?
There was much debate about Leighton Meester’s Critics’ Choice Awards Dior gown, as some felt the shade of gold washed her out, but she returned in this stunning dark green Elie Saab Spring 2025 sequined macrame gown, which is my favorite look from her this awards season—especially with her red hair. This shade was made for her. Mikimoto white South Sea cultured pearl and diamond earrings completed her look.
Styled by Ilaria Urbinati.

A sentimental rewear with historic significance
Lily Gladstone opted to rewear her custom Gucci dress, which she previously wore to the 2024 Vanity Fair Oscars Party. The dress was a collaboration with Indigenous designer Joe Big Mountain of Ironhorse Quillwork, and its shimmering graduating chevron beaded fringe details continue to leave me in awe. This was Lily’s farewell to an incredible moment in her life, as the dress will be showcased in the Making a Statement exhibition at the Smithsonian’s National Museum of the American Indian in Washington, D.C., at the end of this month.
Styled by Jason Rembert.

movie star energy
I know some of you are quite critical of Christian Siriano’s designs, but when it comes to Liza Colón-Zayas, she always looks divine. The rich navy hue and expertly draped fabric have me absolutely salivating. She looks like a movie star here, and her beaming smile signals just how much she loves this look.

A fairytale moment with a modern twist
Wicked actress Marisa Bode looked absolutely breathtaking wearing a Tony Ward Spring 2025 strapless gown. The colourful embellishment and tulle skirt give this a modern Disney princess feel, but in a way that feels fresh rather than costume-y. The Mikimoto earrings were the perfect touch of refinement to complete the look.
Styled by Alexandra Mandelkorn.

A custom gown that missed the mark
Moeka Hoshi’s custom Louis Vuitton silk satin embroidered bustier gown with the tulip-shaped mousseline skirt (similar to the one Da’Vine Joy Randolph wore) is missing all the finesse I have come to expect from a custom Louis Vuitton design. The idea was there, but the execution? Not quite. I just can’t get on board with any of it—it feels unfinished in a way that’s hard to ignore.
Styled by Jason Rembert.

A tuxedo moment with a pearl-powered upgrade
Sheryl Lee Ralph was serving up le smoking glamour in her Sergio Hudson tuxedo-inspired look. And trust Sheryl to put her own spin on it—she ditched the bow tie and instead layered on an abundance of pearls, making this classic look feel even more powerful. This is how you do tuxedo dressing with a personal touch.
Styled by Ivy Coco.

A sculptural pink fantasy
Sofia Carson was not to be missed in this Elie Saab Spring 2025 Haute Couture sculptural gown in the most divine peony pink hue. Elie Saab always understands drama, and this look was no exception. The architectural bodice and billowing shape had just the right amount of fantasy, and her Chopard jewels and Jimmy Choo Dahl platforms were the perfect finishing touches.

A rebellious take on red carpet dressing
Style-wise, Úrsula Corberó has always marched to the beat of her own drum, which is why I’m not surprised to see her wearing this Loewe Spring 2025 knitted mini trapeze dress accented with iridescent mother-of-pearl effect sequins. It was a refreshing look for a red carpet so dominated by gowns—playful, unconventional, and very much in her wheelhouse. Loewe’s Toy pumps rounded out her look.
Styled by Helena Tejedro.

A vintage tuxedo with a touch of whimsy
Zooey Deschanel had a similar idea to Sheryl Lee Ralph when it came to tailoring, opting for a vintage Armani tuxedo. But where Sheryl stripped it down, Zooey leaned all the way in—her look had all the trimmings, staying true to her signature retro-meets-romantic aesthetic.
Styled by Ib Abdel Nasser.
