Louis Vuitton – 200 Trunks, 200 Visionaries: The Exhibition

On Thursday (July 28), Louis Vuitton celebrated the opening of 200 Trunks, 200 Visionaries: The Exhibition held on Rodeo Drive in Beverly Hills.  The exhibition is open to the public through September 6th.

I was just going to give Samara Weaving the best dressed at this event, but then I saw how she added those burgundy platforms to this tan coloured Louis Vuitton look.

What is it with Louis Vuitton and heavy footwear?  Can someone introduce the design team to a sandal…please.

Jurnee Smollett was back on top form wearing this Louis Vuitton look with both asymmetric, and cropped elements.

The cool vibe of this outfit signals to me that she is more of a LV girl than a Versace girl.

I think I would’ve appreciated this Louis Vuitton look on someone more statuesque.  Cate Blanchett for example.

I don’t think Kaitlyn Dever can pull off the bottom half of this sleeveless coat.

While I like this Louis Vuitton look on Jaden Smith, I don’t think the trunk was necessary.

Ava Phillippe was the other famous off-spring on this red carpet.

Personally, I don’t think LV is a good match for the Phillippes or the Witherspoons.

When it comes to Milly Alcock’s LV look – everything from the ankles up.

I think streamline trousers would’ve been a better option for Thuso Mbedu.  The peplum on her top is already providing the volume.  As presented, this feels bottom heavy.

I’m majorly distracted by Shay Mitchell’s LV skirt and why it’s bunching the way it is.

I’m not surprised that Nina Dobrev opted to play it safe with her LV look featuring shorts, which were once a signature look for the actress.

Maria Bakalova had fun with this part monogrammed LV look.
