2022 Film Independent Spirit Awards Red Carpet Roundup

Here is a roundup from the 2022 Film Independent Spirit Awards held on Sunday (March 6) in Santa Monica, California.

Following on from the ‘Fresh’ premiere, Daisy Edgar Jones attended this event wearing a Nensi Dojaka Fall 2022 black silk chiffon ruched dress featuring the designers signature cut-outs.

The lighter than air feel made this a perfect look for a beach affair.

I know there might be objections based on the cut-outs and sheerness, but I think she nailed this look.  She’s swiftly becoming one of my faves.

I loved this Saint Laurent Fall 2019 dress on the runway.  I wish Zoe Kravitz had worn it during her promo tour for ‘The Batman.’

I know that some of you aren’t fans of these Saint Laurent cleavage baring dresses, but I prefer the runway dress over Amy Forsyth’s version which has been modified to include a sheer yoke and jewelled neckline.

These two elements age the look for me.

Dianna Agron has always been a friend of the House of Prada, and they served her well in this chocolate embellished top with a duchesse satin pencil skirt.

I wish she opted for triple instead of double chocolate when it came to the black satin Prada sandals.

I was shocked to see Helen Hunt wearing this patchwork jungle print Dolce & Gabbana dress which embodies the lively spirit of the designers’ Spring 2022 collection.

I wouldn’t have selected this for Helen, so I’m delighted to see her having fun with this.

Sarah Flint sandals completed her look.

Isabella Fuhrman chose the perfect Dior Resort 2022 dress to showcase her fresh tan.

That holiday glow was enhanced with her gold Lady Dior bag and gold Dior Fine Jewelry by Victoire de Castellane.

Jennifer Beals showed her support for the Ukraine wearing yellow and blue Gucci.

Michelle Yeoh was looking as elegant as ever in Armani Spring 2020, even if I don’t think a black clutch was the right way to accessorise this look.

Regina Hall matched her Tyler Ellis ‘Perry’ clutch to her gorgeous shimmering Lanvin Resort 2014 velvet dress.

I didn’t find this dress flattering on Rosario Dawson.

The bodice is too loose, and with a dress like this why would you wear tights?

That is the most confusing part for me.

Chopard jewels completed her look.

Miu Miu has always been regarded as the baby sister to Prada; presenting pieces imbued with plenty of playful, youthful energy.

But both Zoe Kavan, and now Sydney Sweeney‘s Miu Miu looks aren’t living up the brand image that we’ve become accustomed to.

Perhaps had this been in a colour other than grey, my feelings towards it may have changed.
