Whitney Peak Reflects the Contrasts of Panem in Chanel Haute Couture
Following Mckenna Grace’s spectacular landscape gown and Elle Fanning’s Effie Trinket-inspired pink moment, Whitney Peak brought another beautiful look to the London premiere of The Hunger Games: Sunrise on the Reaping.

The Chanel ambassador wore a dress from the Spring 2026 Haute Couture collection, featuring layers of pastel chiffon, intricate smocking and black textured detailing across the bodice.
I’ll admit that the black sections aren’t my favourite part of this gown. I would have loved to see those beautiful pastel shades uninterrupted, especially with the softly pleated skirt. However, when you consider the contrasts within Panem, where the extravagance of the Capitol exists alongside the hardships of the districts, the juxtaposition of dark and delicate fabrics feels particularly fitting for this premiere.

Whatever my reservations about those black sections, Whitney looks stunning. She wears this beautifully, and I adore her fishtail-braided ponytail.
Whitney plays Lenore Dove Baird, Haymitch Abernathy’s girlfriend and a member of the Covey, so I can also see a possible connection between the gown’s textured, almost patchwork-like design and her character’s artistic background. Whether that was part of the styling decision or not, there’s something about this look that feels appropriate for her character.

Her Chanel High Jewellery included Tweed Frangé asymmetrical diamond earrings from the Tweed collection and a Soleil Gansé diamond ring from the 1932 collection, while Chanel sandals completed her look.
Stylist: Karla Welch.
