The Fashion Awards 2021 Red Carpet Roundup

Jourdan Dunn in Andrea Brocca The Fashion Awards 2021

There were many, many more celebrities who attended The Fashion Awards 2021 held at the Royal Albert Hall on Monday (November 29) in London.

I hope you’ve warmed up your index finger, as there are twenty-six looks for you to give your opinions on.

I had to start with Jourdan Dunn, who was serving up screen siren goddess vibes in this Andrea Brocca Spiral Rose gown which was a momentous occasion for the designer, as this dress marked his red carpet debut.

Hopefully, this will be the first of many.

Tiffany & Co. jewels completed the models breath-taking look.

Andrea Brocca

Munroe Bergdorf was a vision channeling Poison Ivy wearing this custom Robert Wun blossom gown.

This was a fashion ceremony, so I don’t want to say it was a risk that paid off, but, it was a risk that paid off.

I wish others would’ve been so brave.

Christian Louboutin shoes and Stephen Webster jewels completed her look.

Sophie Cookson in yuhan wang The Fashion Awards 2021

The last time we saw a Yuhan Wang dress on the red carpet, you were unenthusiastic about it.

But when it comes to Sophie Cookson’s lavender Spring 2022 dress, the fit is better than the dress Amelia Warner wore.

Does that make a difference, or is the intricate silhouette and the futuristic design elements incorporated by the drapery the sticking point?

Personally, I love how the designer has taken direction from traditional Chinese ideas of femininity and added her own twist.

My only issue with this look are the sandals.

Cartier jewels and a Tyler Ellis clutch completed her look.

Alexa Chung in Caroline Hu The Fashion Awards 2021

Alexa Chung wore a very summery Caroline Hu Spring 2022 dress which was very on brand for her. Much like the contrasting accessories which included her own Mulberry x Alexa Chung bag, Manolo Blahnik pumps, and Boucheron jewels.

Had it not been for the black rose, the accessories would’ve made zero sense, so I love what she did here.

Carolina Hu Spring 2022

Considering this red Tommy Hilfiger dress was a custom creation, I’m disappointed that the bustier looks too tight for Indya Moore.

I love the styling which included a vintage-style box bag, Tamara Mellon sandals and Fernando Jorge jewelry.

I was really underwhelmed by Lucy Boynton in this Chanel fantasy tweed set for this event, just like I was when Dylan Penn wore this same look during the 2021 Deauville American Film Festival this summer.

Chanel Fall 2021

Noomi Rapace is always going to serve up something stylish with an edge.

This AMI Spring 2022 look was oozing with plenty of Parisian panache, yet it’s very much on brand for the Swedish actress when it comes to the rebellious nature.

Tasaki jewels provided the finishing touches.

AMI Spring 2022

Charli Howard channelled her inner Jessica Rabbit wearing a custom River Island gown styled with Bvlgari jewels.

Adriana Lima wore a custom two-piece Celia Kritharioti look which she matched with Sophia Webster Rosalind sandals.

When it comes to Adriana’s style.  She takes one step forward and two steps back.

She is such a stunning woman, but she’s been let down by an unimaginative look.

Messika jewels provided the finishing touch.

Australian model Shanina Shaik wore a silver Yousef Aljasmi crystal mesh gown styled with Aquazzura Purist sandals.

I can’t say I love the dress. It’s a little dated, but very much expected.

I’m in love with the warm tones of Stella Maxwell’s Saint Laurent lavalliere-neck draped dress from the Pre-Fall 2021 collection, but I would’ve loved this more as a full length dress for this occasion.

Venyx jewel completed her look.

Saint Laurent Pre-Fall 2021

Winnie Harlow rocked a custom Moncler quilted, mustard two-piece look with statement puff sleeves which she styled with Bvlgari jewelry.

At least her legs and arms were guaranteed to be warm.

After the last Fendi Spring 2022 outing, I was kinda apprehensive about how the rest of the collection would translate on the red carpet.

Lily Allen kinda sold the blue version to me, but the trousers are way too long.

Fendi Spring 2022

While this Valentino Fall 2021 dress is beautiful, it feels a bit too tame for Leomie Anderson.

Valentino Fall 2021

Billie Piper wore the most recognisable dress of the night in this Vivienne Westwood blue corseted design.

Styled with the designers signature platforms and a Vivienne Westwood’s pearl Orb and Saturn choker.

Maya Jama wore an Alexander McQueen drawstring ribbon tie dress from the Pre-Fall 2021 collection.

We often see McQueen dresses styled with heavy duty, black military style boots, so I was delighted to see Maya styled her dress with Jimmy Choo Thyra bow accented sandals.

Alexander McQueen Pre-Fall 2021

Griff continues her love affair with all things Simone Rocha.

These voluminous smock dresses are a Simone Rocha staple.  So you’ll either be over it, or love how this one is elevated to even more dramatic territory thanks styling which included a Simone Rocha Pearl clutch bag and embellished flatforms.

You may not be a fan of Iris Law’s custom Dilara Findikoglu Daenerys Targaryen inspired outfit, but at least she doesn’t follow the model playbook by wearing a sequin embellished sheer dresses.

Personally, I love the creativity and the styling which included The Great Frog bralette, body chain, serpent arm bracelet and serpent necklace featuring pearls plus Jimmy Choo boots.

Kate Beckinsale brought her signature ponytail back for this event; wrapped up in a velvet bow which complemented her Sabina Bilenko Couture dress, styled with Boucheron jewels.

Following her stepping outside her style box at the Stella McCartney event, she was back to wearing something that feels a lot more expected. And it worked beautifully for her.

Poppy Delevingne wore a stunning aquamarine Armani Privé Spring 2021 jumpsuit enveloped in a tulle cape, but the hairstyle is a total mis-match for the elegance of the look.

I found the hairstyle ageing on Poppy.

Swarovski jewels and Rene Caovilla sandals completed her look.

Armani Prive Spring 2021

Maye Musk had me sold on this Tony Ward Couture red lace jumpsuit by her stature alone.

I don’t think it would’ve worked without the train.

Hot pink Jimmy Choo pumps completed her look.

Sabrina Elba wore a David Koma Resort 2022 dress which was instantly recognisable by the crystal flower accents, which we’ve seen on Dua Lipa.

Tiffany & Co. jewels complete her look.

Georgia May Jagger’s Tommy Hilfiger look was my least favourite of the night due to the minimal effort from the designer.

The model added Bvlgari jewels to this look.

Tommy Hilfiger put a lot more effort into Charli XCX’s sequin gown.

She captioned this look on Instagram, “i killed it.”

You’ve gotta love this level of confidence. Especially when it is true.

Demi Moore was back on the red carpet wearing Fendi Fall 2021 Haute Couture design, which has the same silver shading to black embroidery which we saw on Lil Nas X’s GQ Awards suit.

When it come to Raye in this Givenchy Fall 2021 dress, the only thing she selling is the colour. The styling and the undergarments killed this look.

Stone dead.

Flannels hosted Raye at this event.

Jenna Coleman worn an ethereal Dior Resort 2022 white silk dress with a Dior gold brass belt.

Christian Dior Resort 2022

Prior to her performance in Richard Quinn, Kylie Minogue wore a disco-ready Alexandre Vauthier bold shoulder dress from the Spring 2022 collection.

Kylie came to party.
