Noomi Rapace In Givenchy – ‘Stockholm’ Tribeca Film Festival Premiere

It as a busy weekend in Tribeca, New York with a host of stars including Tessa Thompson, Lily James, Lea Seydoux, Alba Rohrwacher and Saoirse Ronan taking to the red carpet for the start of the annual Film Festival.

Noomi Rapace was also in attendance promoting her new film ‘Stockholm’ on Thursday (April 19).

The Swedish actress has never been afraid of fashion, often opting for bold strong looks which may not always work, but I always admire her confidence and bold choices.

Little else makes you feel quite as badass as a pair of leather trousers, and Givenchy’s Spring 2018 two-tone interpretation posses an urban cool finish, while taking away from any retro connotations the blouse was hoping to bring to the party.

I much prefer the look sans leather coat, but I feel the look works well either way.

Noomi Rapace In Matty Bovan – The BRIT Awards 2018

If you were hoping for someone to do something grand at The Brit Awards 2018 on Wednesday (February 21) in London, England, you will no doubt have been pleased with Dua Lipa‘s appearance.

Noomi Rapace also turned heads in a Matty Bovan Fall 2018 gown.

She replaced the purse and balloon hat from the runway with a thick purple belt which cinched the layers of pink netting and black tulle.

There might be an extraordinary amount of detail to take in with the tangle of fabrics, yet my eyes go right to her light bra.

I have no qualms about her wanting to preserve some modesty, but a black, pink or a neutral colour bra would have had a much more streamlined effect.

Thoughts?

Who Wore Louis Vuitton Better? Noomi Rapace or Lea Seydoux?

Noomi Rapace and Lea Seydoux wore the same lace Louis Vuitton dress a month apart.

Fashion daredevil Noomi put her own spin on this luxe piece by taking the look down an edgy direction with the styling at the ‘Bright’ LA premiere, while Lea let the dress to the talking at the César party.

I was tempted to go for Noomi for her efforts with the accessories, but the dress was better suited to Lea’s style.

Noomi Rapace In Louis Vuitton – Netflix’s ‘Bright’ Promo Tour

There are two things that Noomi Replace is not.

She’s not likely to make you scream BDOTW, or likely to follow trends, which I greatly admire her for.

Marching to beat of her own drum the actress has served up a heady mix of looks while promoting her latest film ‘Bright’.

London Premiere: On Friday (December 15) the actress wore probably her safest red carpet look yet. A lace overlay gown doesn’t usually fit the Noomi Replace mold, but the gold accessories, blunt wig and eye makeup push this look into a recognisable edgy direction.

Mumbai Premiere: On Monday (December 18) Noomi’s next stop was Mumbai, where her mix of gold brocade Louis Vuitton Spring 2018 pieces had a feeling of thrown together without much finesse. I’ll think about keeping the jacket, but the skirt doesn’t work here.

Tokyo Premiere: Raking up those frequent flyer miles Noomi was in Tokyo today (December 19) , where she wore her second look from the Louis Vuitton Spring 2018 collection. I want to say, “lose that weird overlay”, but without one quirk can it really be categorized as a Noomi Rapace I look?

An Evening Honoring Louis Vuitton and Nicolas Ghesquière

‘An Evening Honoring’… an annual fundraising event for the Lincoln Center Corporate Fund, paid tribute to Louis Vuitton Artistic Director Nicolas Ghesquière with ‘The Women’s Leadership Award’ on Thursday (November 30) in New York City.

The award was presented by Jennifer Connelly, to celebrate his many years of excellence in the fashion industry.

As you’d expect, the same list of ladies, and gents, who’ve shown their support for recent LV events were in attendance, plus Nicole Kidman.

Ruth Negga: Of the winged trio here, Ruth is the most successful at pulling off this Louis Vuitton Spring 2018 look. Dreamy in parts with a sheer and leather overlay giving the look an edge, there really is nothing she can’t pull off.

Michelle Williams: The actress perhaps went with the most safest interpretation of this Spring 2018 look, and I have a feeling many will consider this a tad washed out and too one note. I think that she looks really pretty, and to be honest, I’m glad she played it safe. Complicated LV styles overwhelm her in my opinion.

Jennifer Connelly: While I will tip my hat and have huge admiration for Jennifer for going with probably the trickiest look in the Louis Vuitton Spring 2018 collection, my feeling is she has bitten off a little more than she could chew here. There’s way too much going on, and it doesn’t feel as cohesive as the other two ladies.

2017 BAFTAs Red Carpet Roundup

More stars were also seen at the 2017 BAFTAs on Sunday (February 12) in London, England.

Hannah Bagshawe: Bringing more ethereal glamour to the red carpet, Hannah looked simply sensational in this fully embroidered Alexander McQueen dress.

Eddie Redmayne: Working a monochrome look from Dior Homme, Eddie was one of the best dressed men for me. Simple, elegant and spot on.

Daisy Ridley: This is one of my favourite dresses from the night actually. Roland Mouret knows how to do statement chic, and I love the mix of black, red and white, plus the floral print panels. There’s a lot going on, but it all works well together, including the Jimmy Choo ‘Tower’ pumps.
