Cate Blanchett Wore Giorgio Armani To The 2020 Venice Film Festival Jury Photocall

Back in January, Cate Blanchett was announced as the president of the International Jury for the Competition of the 2020 Venice International Film Festival, where she will assign the Golden Lion for Best Film, as well as other official awards.

During this festival the Australian star has said she would rather be called an actor than an actress, and she has given her backing to Berlin festival’s controversial decision last week to do away with gendered prizes and only give a best actor award.

The actor is well known for blowing us away during this festival.  More so than Cannes for me.

Remember her breath-taking look for the 2018 Venice Film Festival, ‘Star Is Born’ premiere?

It’s still one of her best red carpet looks to date.

On this occasion she wore one of the go-to brands: Armani; wearing a striped jumpsuit from the Italian brands Pre-Fall 2020 collection.

Even with the graphic stripes, what really saved this look for me was the red belt.  I don’t think I would’ve been so excited about this look without it.

But this is a typically professional look which was apt for her official unveiling as jury president for this festival.

Simple black pumps provided the finishing touch.
